No, this isn’t about token allocation. For an exchange to list a token properly, it needs to integrate the token’s network at the infrastructure level. That’s straightforward if it’s an EVM clone or built on a standard like ERC20 or SPL, but it takes real engineering work when it’s a new network.
@krakenfx runs its own nodes for every integration, unlike most exchanges. It’s part of how we maintain transparency, security, and reliability. To do that, we need an archival node capability in-house. The official closed-source client did not support that, so at the time we would have had to rely on an open-source implementation called Nanoreth, maintained by just one contributor. That level of dependency was too risky given our responsibility to clients and their funds.
Since then, the ecosystem around Hyperliquid has evolved, with more contributors and better tooling. Our teams have been in contact with them and would be happy to revisit the integration once there is a clear, secure technical path. Kraken’s approach has always been open, fair, safe, and trusted, and focused on doing things the right way for customers and clients.

Why it matters:
- $mUSD integrates natively across Ethereum and Linea, reaching millions globally across West and East audiences.
- It supports on-ramps, swaps, bridging, and real-world spending via MetaMask Card, merging fiat and stablecoin functionality.
- It enables deep liquidity integrations with DeFi protocols, likely boosted by liquidity mining campaigns.
- It gives MetaMask control over dollar and treasury yield infrastructure, unlike Tether or Circle, allowing native integrations, rewards, staking, and composable apps within the wallet.
This aligns with my insight from a recent AI x Crypto X space, where I discussed how native wallet integrations, powered by AI can streamline DeFi user experiences. MetaMask’s control over yield distribution enhances this without users ever having leaving the wallet.

Love to see this result from the Coral team getting a best in class result from using AI mini models using their multiagent framework.
Having worked with them (and full disclosure, holding their token), I know they have been building towards this for a long time and am looking forward to seeing their results on the public benchmarks.
While they didn't publish the costs, I believe the whole point of using strictly small/mini models is to keep costs down, making the efficiency per cost an outstanding feature of their approach.
Would love other AI experts to give their take on how significant this result is relative to other teams pushing AI capabilities forward.
