🚨 FRANK GASHUMBA TAKES LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PASTOR ROBERT KAYANJA
Frank M. Gashumba has filed a formal criminal complaint against Pastor Robert Kayanja, petitioning the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Uganda Police Force. In a letter addressed to CID Director AIGP Major Tom Magambo, Gashumba requested a formal investigation under Section 81 of the Penal Code Act over alleged threats of violence directed at him and his family.

The escalating public feud between Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and Member of Parliament Ofwono Opondo reached a boiling point on social media after a high-stakes exchange caught public attention.
Gen. Muhoozi posted a claim stating he heard "O.O." (Ofwono Opondo) had fled Uganda, adding a stark warning: "We shall be waiting for him when he attempts to return."
Opondo did not back down. Replying directly to Muhoozi, whom he called his "estranged brother." Opondo completely shut down the rumors. He clarified that he is currently away on official parliamentary duties and will return exactly as scheduled.

According to reports, he's now in a three-bedroom house with his own cook, waiting to meet the President. The surrender came after Muhoozi gave him an ultimatum last week over alleged rebel recruitment, and after his wife and over 20 soldiers were arrested.
Senior Teso figures like Charles Elasu and Calvin Echodu brokered it, with Museveni reportedly assuring his safety if he faced military justice.

Phaneroo Ministries lead pastor Grace Lubega has openly challenged the leadership of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) over persistent reports of citizen abductions and illegal detentions. He warned that these security actions create a severe moral dilemma, making it increasingly difficult for religious leaders to defend their public association with the organization.
The remarks were delivered on Friday, November 6, 2026, during a breakfast dialogue between Born-again church leaders and senior PLU officials at the Serena Kigo Hotel.
Lubega highlighted a "big moral wound" caused by security operatives using unmarked drone vans to snatch citizens from streets and hold them in undisclosed safe houses.
He noted that pastors face intense questioning from their followers, as many of those abducted are believers or have families attending their churches.
This criticism followed the highly publicized legal troubles of human rights activist Praise Aloikin Opoloje in September and the subsequent November 1 disappearance of her friend, law student Louis Ninsiima, both connected to Phaneroo Ministries.

🚨 GEN MUHOOZI SAYS ELWELU WILL ‘PAY IN FUL ’, PROMISES REWARD FOR MUSA ECWERU.
Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has declared that retired Lt Gen Peter Elwelu will "pay in full" for what he described as betraying the military, following Elwelu's surrender to security forces.
Gen Muhoozi accused Elwelu of treason, stockpiling weapons, and organizing subversive rebel recruitment activities in the Teso sub-region. He claimed security forces crushed Elwelu's "rebellion" within a single week.
After Gen Muhoozi issued an ultimatum on social media demanding his surrender, Elwelu turned himself over to security operatives at his office in Soroti City. While the army notes he surrendered because he was cornered, his family maintains his innocence.
Gen Muhoozi stated via social media that Elwelu had been stripped of his ranks and demoted to a Private. The Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) confirmed that Elwelu will face formal prosecution before the General Court Martial without any special presidential safety guarantees.
In contrast to his condemnation of Elwelu, Gen Muhoozi publicly praised the former minister, Musa Ecweru, calling him a "fearless man and hero". He stated his admiration for Ecweru dates back to 2003 and promised that the politician will receive a reward.

🚨GEN. MUHOOZI LEAVING CDF JOB IN A FEW MONTHS TO COME.
Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has announced his intention to step down from the country's top military position in the coming months.
General Muhoozi shared via his official X account that he intends to hand over the office to another qualified officer and dedicate the next chapter of his life to Christ and Christian service.
While he stated his tenure as CDF is nearing its end, he later clarified that he will remain in the armed forces for at least another year. He has not yet named a potential successor for the role.
General Muhoozi was appointed as the country's military chief by his father, President Yoweri Museveni, on March 21, 2024, succeeding General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi.
