David Walliams, the man who sexually assaulted over 100 women, was a massive campaigner for transing young children.
A man who promoted his trans book with an erection fully on display in a children's bookstore while meeting young girls.
The agenda was always on display; you just looked the other way.
Jimmy Saville abused children, but was never convicted for it. Do we need to say “alleged to have” when referencing his crimes too?
This kind of reply from an academic shows a really worrying contempt for academic standards, and arrogance towards non-academics. Anyone can see Arday’s PhD mishandled data and copied from other work. If that’s not a problem, what’s the value of academia?

I'll never understand why James O'Brien humiliating Arday on air (and LBC promoting the clip) isn't cited more often as a likely factor for Arday's alleged* suicide.
*AFAICT, the coroner hasn't reported the cause of death.

Not my generation mate. Bottom is the word for ‘bottom’. If you say ‘I am having surgery on my bottom’ most will commiserate with you for having piles, not immediately twig you meant your penis.
Why so reluctant to just say ‘penis surgery’? What exactly in this phrase are you so afraid of?
This JKR documentary is going to be absolutely glorious. It will
A) blow the lid off the usual whinge that this is such tedious nothing burger culture war if we have a whole documentary on it
B) it will enable a fresh new audience to understand what JKR has actually said
C) those being negative about JKR will inevitably be the available apex of the Progressive Woke Scolds, which I know plays very well for BBC executives but is met beyond the M25 like a cup of cold sick.
They are so convinced they are right, they won’t see the dangers. Remember the Matt Walsh documentary. All he had to do was ask a few questions and let them talk.

It could be petty revenge.
She should remain silent as an expression of absolute contempt - whatever they say - then serve papers.
Those working at the BBC are 1.6 times more likely to identify as trans or non-binary than general population. Also more likely to know someone who is trans or who has a child that is trans. Their perception of trans is wholly disproportionate to that of gen pop.
From Hilary Cass’ comments to the UK parliament yesterday, in a debate over puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.
There are a couple of significant points of interest here.
First, Cass's statement suggests that the PB arm of the trial is based squarely bon the original proposal for the Dutch Protocol, which was designed specifically for early onset cases and only early onset cases.
This means that the UK trial will deviate from the original Dutch Protocol trial, which went beyond the proposal an included later presentation cases in its female cohort. This isn't made explicit in the descriptive section of the original study paper (De Vries, 2011) but is referred to in the discussion:-
"At baseline, gender dysphoric natal males were younger and showed less problem behavior than natal females. With a mean age of 14, most natal females had developed breasts and had their menarche."
Second, this aligns well with the 2013 Steensma paper on persistence/desistence which notes that:-
"When asked with what sex they identified (“Are you a boy or a girl?”), children who expressed cross-gender identification had a greater chance of persisting GD. This seems to be in concordance with the underlying motives reported by the persisters and desisters in the qualitative study by Steensma et al.2 Persisters indicated that they believed that they were the “other” sex, and the desisters indicated they wished they were the “other” sex; this difference may also underlie our finding of a higher report of cognitive cross-gender identification in the persisters than in the desisters;"
Before adding:-
"Childhood social transitions were important predictors of persistence, especially among natal boys. Social transitions were associated with more intense GD in childhood, but have never been independently studied regarding the possible impact of the social transition itself on cognitive representation of gender identity or persistence."
If the trial can examine the role of social transition in any depth then we may well be getting somewhere in terms of useful data.

PSA. A couple of posts have appeared on the #wba hashtag referencing safeguarding complaints to the Premier League.
I asked Grok to assess the account making these seemingly serious allegations and it came up with this.

Wow - except I’ve got evidence that support a multi agency fraud ring. You in the payroll ??

Safeguarding breaches seems acceptable across WBA academy and the FA. Makes you wonder what the purpose of these roles really are. #discrimination #SEN #WBA
New piece: Did NHS Sussex Chief Medical Officer suppress puberty blocker information?
genderblog.net/did-nhs-chief…
Looked at WellBN's prescribing data last year and while I couldn't dig up anything useful on PB usage - largely, I suspect because low numbers of scripts across a range of different hormone suppressants makes this a needle in a haystack job - I was able to pull some interesting longitudinal data on prescribing patterns for male and female sex hormones.
Important caveats:
1) There's a practice merger in 2022 to be taken into account as this significantly increased the size of the surgery's patient list outside its targeting of services toward people seeking 'gender-affirming' care.
2) The data for female sex hormones doesn't distinguish between scripts issued to natal males and those issued to females as HRT.
I did, however, run a comparison of the age demographics of WellBN other surgeries in its Primary Care Network and the graph, I think, speaks for itself and support view that its prescribing pattern for female hormone is not just down to an influx of menopausal women.
I also used another surgery - St Peter's - to provide a baseline because it had its own gender medicine service during this period.
Seeing a few calls for a return to Merry Hill. #wba
Can't see that being cost effective as a long term thing but running a pop up shop there during key periods, i.e. July/August for kit launches, pre-Christmas and March/April for an end of season sale, might be viable.
We can confirm our retail stall at West Bromwich Indoor Market, the Albion Alcove, will close permanently on Saturday, October 17.
