“Touch grass” is definitely going to confuse historians trying to understand why everyone in the 2020s was so obsessed with lawns.
One of the easiest ways to lose track of your spending is to think in monthly payments instead of annual costs.
£12.99 a month sounds forgettable.
£155.88 a year makes you stop and think.
Same price. Different perspective.
There’s something ridiculous about needing to book annual leave just to do things that are only open while you’re at work.
Dentist. Bank. Deliveries. Tradespeople.
Half the challenge of being an adult is finding a Tuesday afternoon when you’re apparently not supposed to have a job.

The first quest is literally to clean his room, and he doesn't even know the game has started. 😂
Your phone’s GPS doesn’t need mobile signal to know where you are. It receives signals directly from satellites.
The reason maps sometimes stop working without reception? The map data often needs an internet connection.
Two completely different systems that most of us think are one.
You can spend an entire day answering emails, attending meetings and clearing notifications.
Then get to 5pm and realise you haven’t touched the one thing you actually needed to finish.
Being busy and getting somewhere aren’t always the same thing.

Someone should pitch that idea to Silicon Valley. Maybe give it a futuristic name like Theranos. What could possibly go wrong?
Somewhere along the way, the internet went from helping you find things to making you prove you’re a human before you can find anything.

I think we underestimate how much grief was woven into everyday life. Just because losing children was more common doesn't mean it hurt any less. People probably carried unimaginable trauma while being expected to simply get on with living.
We’ve somehow reached a point where cancelling a subscription feels like completing a side quest. Five menus, three confirmation screens, and a final question about whether you’re absolutely sure.
Every app wants to become an AI assistant.
Sometimes I just want to change a setting without having a conversation about it.

I don't mind the character development, but could we skip a few of the financially stressful episodes and get to the part where everything finally comes together?
A £5 daily purchase doesn’t feel expensive.
Neither does a £10 subscription.
Or a £15 takeaway.
The problem isn’t always one big financial decision. Sometimes it’s 30 small ones you barely remember making.
The worst part of having a day off is spending half of it doing things you didn’t have time to do while working.

At this point I'm convinced Amazon has someone hiding in every neighbourhood just waiting for you to click “Buy Now.”

When one country's decisions can have consequences across the entire planet, it's hardly surprising that people outside its borders pay attention to its elections.
You spend years working towards something you think will finally make you feel successful.
Then you achieve it.
And within weeks, the extraordinary starts feeling ordinary.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting more. But if every achievement immediately becomes the starting line for the next one, when do you get to enjoy how far you’ve come?
Most misunderstandings don’t begin with someone saying something completely wrong.
They begin with two people assuming they mean the same thing.
Two people can give you exactly the same advice.
From one person, it feels helpful.
From the other, it feels insulting.
The information hasn’t changed. But your relationship with the person delivering it has.
Sometimes we reject a message because of the messenger, not because the message is wrong.
The most expensive part of an interruption isn’t always the two minutes it takes.
It’s the ten minutes you might spend remembering what you were thinking about.

A mistake by a woman becomes evidence against an entire gender. A mistake by a man is treated as an individual failure. That double standard says a lot about how differently people assign blame.
