Robin Williams and his daughter, Zelda Williams, who together starred in official Nintendo commercials and shared a well-known passion for The Legend of Zelda franchise.... Robin Williams and his family were avid fans of the original The Legend of Zelda (released in North America in 1987), inspiring them to name his daughter Zelda Williams (born in 1989). Robin and Zelda teamed up with Nintendo to star in promotional video ads for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and other titles in the series. . . . . The Legend of Zelda first came out in Japan in 1986 and reached North America in 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment System. It became one of the best-selling games of its era and launched one of the most famous franchises in video game history. Williams was a lifelong gamer. He played everything from Zelda to Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, and he often said games were a way he connected with his kids. His daughter, Zelda Williams, was born in 1989. She has since become an actor and director, making her feature directing debut with the 2024 horror comedy “Lisa Frankenstein.” Robin Williams died in 2014, at the age of 63. After his death, fans started an online petition asking Nintendo to honor him with a character in a future Zelda game. It gathered hundreds of thousands of signatures. Nintendo never officially confirmed a tribute, which is why the Breath of the Wild lookalike remains a fan theory. #drthehistories

Damn!

They found a torture chamber in Kyiv, Ukraine today where the AFU held 40+ men (including a 14 year old) and beat them, starved them, and possibly raped them for an unknown amount of time. I feel like this should be bigger news...

I think one of our biggest mistakes as a society is underestimating the intelligence and perspective of kids. They are really smart and understand a lot more than we give them credit for.

Xennials. We are Xennials. The end of Gen X and the beginning the Millennials. We are in our 40s and think we are still 20, which is a problem when your back randomly locks up. We can name most songs from the 80s to about 10 yrs ago. We still think the 80s was only 20 yrs ago.
There was a whole generation between gen x and millennial, born from around 80-85, who are different than everyone else.

In 1986, Michael Morton was convicted of murdering his wife, a crime he insisted he never committed. For the next 25 years, he remained behind bars, fighting to prove his innocence. In 2011, DNA evidence finally revealed the truth, clearing Morton of the murder and helping identify the actual killer. This emotional courtroom footage captures the moment a judge officially exonerated him after more than two decades of wrongful imprisonment. Over those 25 years, Morton lost his freedom, precious time with his son, and countless moments he could never get back. Overwhelmed by the decision, he broke down in tears beside his attorney. Justice had finally been served, but it came 25 years too late.

🚨 EDWARD SNOWDEN’S CHILLING WARNING IS NOW UNFOLDING IN REAL TIME What China built… is exactly what Western governments are quietly preparing for. Snowden is crystal clear: Every photo, every purchase, every message, every movement — all of it is being fed into algorithms that decide your future. In China, AI “city brains” now track: Where you live Who you visit How you dispose of your rubbish Every step you take in public Whether you “follow rules” or not Break a rule? A camera catches you from three angles. Your score drops. Your life collapses. Snowden’s warning: “If any of your activities differ from what the government wants, you won’t get on a train. You won’t board a plane. You won’t get a job. An algorithm will decide your fate. And what they are selling… is us.” This is not a future threat. It is happening now — in Shanghai, in Beijing… and creeping into the West through digital ID, AI policing, and “misinformation scoring.” China built the prototype. Our governments are importing the blueprint. Stay informed. Stay alert. Do not let this system take root.

Michael Pollan reveals how the introduction of caffeine completely changed human history and consciousness. "Before caffeine, it was a very different world and a very different consciousness. People were drunk a lot of the time, buzzed almost all of the time because it was safer than water" "Water was really how you got diseases. If you fermented things, even low alcohol, it killed a lot of the microbes. So people, even kids, drank hard cider for breakfast" "Tea, chocolate, and coffee all arrive in the same decade in England, and things start to change... no one ate or drank boiling water or hot beverages before" "Boiling it made it much safer. This gave this incredible public health boost to these places, and then you have the drug that fosters a kind of more linear, rational, focused way of thinking" "People in the 1600s started writing about it saying, 'Wow, we have this new civil and sober drink that we can use.' And that, I think, makes possible things like the Industrial Revolution"

The clip repeats the myth that pre-caffeine people were mostly drunk because water was unsafe. Historians and medieval sources show water was commonly drunk from wells/springs while weak ale provided nutrition/calories, not a substitute for bad water. leslefts.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-gr… slate.com/human-interest… fakehistoryhunter.net/2026/02/02/dri…
