Gaelic Writers Association Football Personality of the Year, Andy Moran, reflects on an epic year for @MayoGAA and what the future might hold for the All-Ireland champions. #GAABelong gaa.ie/article/andy-moran-re…
Excellent written piece, it's exactly where we are and what we are fighting to achieve.
Jamie Carragher spoke of a food chain in English and European football and how hard it is for a club such as Aston Villa to challenge for — let alone win — the biggest prizes.
He wondered whether a part of Villa’s coach Unai Emery might even be tempted by the challenge of trying to revive Manchester United’s ailing fortunes — a notion that riled Villa’s fans and enraged the club’s hierarchy.
Yet, while Villa have so much to build on — a rich and storied past, a passionate fanbase, a wonderfully atmospheric stadium, excellent players and, for the foreseeable future, one of the greatest coaches in world football — is that enough to challenge in the super-club era?
Or, to put it another way, to evolve into one of those big beasts that can force its way towards the top of the food chain?

Ireland have beaten Cambodia to finish ahead of England and seal top spot at the U15 World Cup🫡
Trailing 1-0 at half-time, the young Boys in Green fought back through a Conor Hudson brace and strikes from Nathan Power and Harry Rehill to complete an unbeaten group campaign.
A brilliant achievement from Graham Gartland’s side, who will discover their knockout-stage opponents later today.
What a week so far for these young Irish players.

What a win! Aston Villa (play by the rules) 2, Manchester City ( dont play by the rule, decided by an independent commission) 1. @Carra23 what you think of your hot take now? @MiguelDelaney still think Emery is not an elite manager still?
