They wasted a pick because he wasn’t good 😂
Evan Turner says the Sixers wasted a lottery pick by bringing him off the bench after drafting him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft
Turner entered the NBA as the reigning national player of the year and a consensus first team All-American. He didn’t become a full time starter until his third season.
“As a number two pick, I walked in I say bro, ‘Why would I be playing, and I love my guys at that depth, I don’t understand what we talking about. Why am I coming off the bench behind for a 28-win team and y’all telling me I gotta play behind a dude that played here six years and he showed you what he was.’ This is worth my future and development. Y’all wasted a lottery pick”
“I literally thought like, ‘How do we not have a system built around me if y’all were waiting for me?’ When I was sitting there, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m doing too many blue collar things to be a superstar.’ And not like in a bad way. I just thought you get a system set up. When John Wall came in, Gil [Arenas] was elite and they made him move over positions”

Gonna talk about injury stuff on the show, but I think it's more simple than the convoluted overuse stuff people bring up. Basically, we're asking NBA players to weigh more, be bigger, stronger and faster than ever, and then we're asking them to play at breakneck pace. (1/2)

With all the injuries lately, I need to say something. It’s about this guy LeBron James.
We talk a lot about LeBron’s longevity. His availability deserves just as much appreciation.
Through 23 seasons, LeBron played in nearly 88% of his teams’ regular-season games. That includes the years when he was still playing into his late 30s and early 40s.
For his first FIFTEEN seasons? He played in more than 94% of the games. Just 71 missed games in 15 years. Fewer than five per season. Just think about that.
And in Year 15, he played all 82.
Think about the combination that requires: extraordinary talent, an enormous workload, and the ability to keep coming back and doing it again. Year after year after year.
Longevity is remarkable on its own. Maintaining that level of performance while being available that consistently is something else entirely.
Whatever your all-time rankings look like, this part of LeBron’s career deserves its own standing ovation. Nobody will ever come close in that regard.

It's a week into the season and the NBA is averaging the most possessions per game, shortest average possession length, highest average pickup distance, and most possessions with at least three offensive players crashing in the tracking era. Playing very hard for 82 games!

Very definition of an impeachable offense
Trump admitted he blocked energy funding to punish blue states he lost in 2024, including $586 million for Illinois.
Courts ruled it illegal. He's still blocking the money.
Bipartisan permitting reform won't work if Trump ignores the law. He must reinstate the grants first.
