spent my coffee on the B2B part of the Gotchi Labs whitepaper this morning, the section almost nobody quotes...
5.1.3. if a coach, a meditation service or a wellness brand wants to sell inside the planned Sleepagotchi Market, they stake CHI as a Partner Listing Bond.
so sellers carry collateral, not only users.
and per 5.4, staked holders vote on marketplace standards and partner criteria. users write the rules, providers post the deposit. I kinda like that split.
what I'm watching: the required amount, lock duration and return conditions are all left to "applicable program terms".
the doc calls them "potentially returnable" bonds, and I couldn't find a single line on slashing.
a bond only protects users if something can actually happen to it.
question for @sleepagotchi: if a partner breaks the standards stakers voted on, can part of the bond be cut, and is that decided by a governance proposal or by the team?

DATA is coming to @SuiNetwork.
The DATA Network and Trace are joining the Sui stack, bringing a live supply of rights-cleared AI training data to infrastructure built for AI workloads.
With 250M+ receipts already recorded by Trace, AI labs will be able to source real-world data with verifiable provenance, while @WalrusProtocol provides the underlying storage layer.
Sui Foundation is investing $30 million in the DATA Network, establishing the largest institutional stake in the network, alongside the continuing holdings of PIP Labs and the DATA Foundation. Furthering the alignment, SY Lee, founder of the DATA Network and CEO of PIP Labs, joins Sui Foundation as Strategic Advisor.
In the coming months:
▸ The DATA Network will be upgraded to run as a protocol natively on Sui
▸ Walrus becomes the default storage layer for DATA Foundation apps
▸ $DATA remains the token of the DATA protocol
The next chapter of DATA starts here.

Poseidon once tried to buy a dataset and was handed back its own.
That's the problem Trace is built for.
A buyer should be able to check where a file came from and whether anyone else already sold it.
From finding our focus in AI data to the thinking behind joining the Sui stack
CEO @devrelius went deeper on DATA's next chapter with @helenebraunn for @CoinDesk ↓

Enjoyed speaking with @HeleneBraunn about the thinking behind our recent decisions, what we've learned along the way, and where we're headed next with @SuiFoundation.
Thoughtful piece that captures the bigger picture.

Replying to @datafdn
@datafdn could have built its own storage and access rules. It chose to use what @SuiNetwork and @WalrusProtocol already have, so the team can spend its time on Trace and the apps that supply the data.

Four steps, all on @SuiNetwork .
Trace gives the file a receipt, Seal locks it behind a rule, @WalrusProtocol spreads it across many nodes, and Nautilus runs it in a secure space.
The money goes back to the person who shared the data.

The internet has already been scraped, so the next data has to come from people who agreed to share it. A receipt for every file is what lets a lab show it had permission.
Building Trace at scale means making deliberate choices about where we invest our resources.
Joining the Sui stack gives us the infrastructure to grow while keeping our focus on the products and applications driving real adoption.
