This is just ridiculous. Tyrese Haliburton- left hamstring strain Anthony Edwards - right knee damage Jalen Williams - fractured fibula Cason Wallace - torn labrum Ben Simmons - torn achilles Ben Sheppard - torn meniscus Jaren Jackson Jr - torn MCL Ariel Hukporti - ruptured achilles Brandon Ingram - partial achilles tear Max Strus - partial plantar fascia tear Paolo Banchero - high ankle sprain Jalen Suggs - right knee bone bruise Jalen Duren - hamstring strain
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has sustained a left hamstring strain and will miss time, sources tell ESPN. Pacers doctors and Haliburton are now gathering a clear timeline.

There’s science that suggests a lot of these achilles tears/ruptures are another covid byproduct.

The tests don’t work. They rarely ever do. It’s the sad truth. xitter.cf/envidreamz/status/2111…
Warning on PJ.2.1: FALSE NEGATIVES are fueling diagnostic misattribution. People will blame allergies, food poisoning,etc... Expect Covid denial to surge. Tracking it as it happens. To those calling it rhinovirus … see you on the other side.

I've been saying for years that all the Achilles tendon ruptures in the NFL and NBA are from COVID. Here's my attempt to put my theory into the scientific record:

I've been saying it for years now: it's COVID. If the Warriors GM followed my account, he would have never traded for Porzingis.
Gonna talk about injury stuff on the show, but I think it's more simple than the convoluted overuse stuff people bring up. Basically, we're asking NBA players to weigh more, be bigger, stronger and faster than ever, and then we're asking them to play at breakneck pace. (1/2)

The NBA injury thing speaks to a larger issue around now Long COVID is defined and talked about. You have a player - Porzingis - who is clearly suffering from some sort of severe manifestation of Long COVID. His career appears to have been ended by it, and his health has impacted the teams depending on him. But then, at the same time, you can see other players across the league who don't seem to have the same symptoms, aren't maybe stuck in bed, but nevertheless are removed from play by ruptured Achilles and other injuries which may not have happened had they not been infected with COVID. This is the bigger, more sinister version of Long COVID - the gradual destruction of people's bodies from repeat infections. The power in society has defined the language of Long COVID in such a way as to effectively make the second group invisible, even though it may be as impactful or more so than the first group.

Tested positive for Covid on Monday. Feeling a little better by Tuesday (today). Immediately asks if they can take edibles and go to Halloween parties all weekend. The future from the younger generations working Covid reform looks exactly like this.

Due to Covid, my kid has an aortic aneurysm, my other kid has life-altering complications and is disabled, I almost died, my cat did die. I DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY! People who say they "don't care where it came from" 🤨 I assume they're shills or bots for the coverup.

Why We Must Fight for Blood-Brain Barrier Testing in Long COVID 🧠💥 When my partner looked into getting a CSF/albumin ratio (Q_{Alb}) test to evaluate my blood-brain barrier (BBB) integrity, we hit a wall: insurance labels it "investigational" or "not medically necessary" for Long COVID. What the actual f*ck!! Here is why we must push to change this standard of care: 👉 🚫 The "Investigational" Trap: Insurance policies refuse coverage for Q_{Alb} testing because formal specialty guidelines haven't updated to include Long COVID. This leaves patients trapped without access to objective diagnostic proof of barrier leakage. 👉 ⚠️ Real Medical Dangers: When doctors don't know a patient's barrier is leaking, they prescribe peripheral medications like alpha-1 agonists assuming they will stay in the body. When these drugs cross a broken BBB, they trigger severe, preventable central nervous system storms. 👉 🏛️ Bridging Science to Practice: Peer-reviewed studies (Nature Neuroscience, AJNR) repeatedly demonstrate BBB disruption, microvascular damage, and tight-junction breakdown in LC. 🤔We know it's happening. Many of you are experiencing it everyday and are given inappropriate medications and made worse because they are missing this piece of the Covid picture. 💥We must demand that medical societies, health systems, and insurance payers align their diagnostic policies with current research. We cannot treat what we refuse to measure! 📢 #LongCOVID #BloodBrainBarrier #Dysautonomia #TestsTreatmentsNow #PatientAdvocacy #MMP9 Coming soon: The fight for proper diagnostics!! This will be my fight and I want you to join me. We need this now. Our children need this now. It's adding a devastating layer on our illnesses from this disease.

Telling someone that repeat Covid infections can simply be avoided is the same as calling it “just a cold and you shouldn’t have taken the clot shot.” Both allow the ongoing genocide to continue by keeping the blame on the person who got sick instead of the public health failure that left them unprotected.
They died because they chose not to mask is a slippery slope… that places the blame on individuals, people are dying because their governments are failing to protect them from the biological agents that they ‘let rip’ with.

Subtweet: Imagine you had a big heart and built a Discord/Reddit following trying to help people avoid COVID. BUT you oversold certain tactics (e.g., nasal sprays, certain vaccine options), and people increasingly realize this. Now, people are using AI more, and basic AI models are better incorporating medical evidence, in part because they draw upon critiques by myself and thousands of others and evaluate those critiques, and the critiques often (but not always!) win. It's nowhere near "there" yet. It still makes big mistakes by default on "statistical conclusion validity," stating what study authors claim, even when their own data do not support it. That overly perpetuates industry bias amid sketchy studies. But it's improving, and in a year will be much better. In 5 years, it might even recommend clinicians mask. So, what do you do if you're the good-hearted person who got some things wrong and is losing clout? In science, the goal is always to be up to date on the current evidence. For example, although past nasal spray studies are flawed, if a good one with a positive trial came on board, I would eat humble pie and encourage it. I was very hopeful of this when the JAMA-IM article came out; just more junk, unfortunately. If Long COVlD incidence declined, I would warn of that too. These would both be hugely positive developments. Stating one perspective and then admitting being wrong based on new data often gives one immense credibility and is extremely helpful. It's like when a politician votes against the rest of their party. It's just good science, and we're in a terrible public health place because so few people do this. So, if one oversold nasal sprays and certain vaccine options based on good faith and a big heart, and people were increasingly realizing this, the simplest response would just be to acknowledge the cumulative body of evidence. Don't oversell. Don't attack scientists. Don't push a biased lit review. That will all fail. Just acknowledge what's evolved and move on.
