Escaping Temptation's Fire
Don't overtrust yourself and your ability to avoid falling. Flee from temptation!
This devotional will teach you the importance of personal temptation avoidance and how to escape burning temptation successfully by giving thanks to God and reminding yourself His provision is more than enough. Put this into practice and you'll be at peace instead of internally struggling against temptation you can't resist.
God provides more than enough. And if what we have weren't enough, He said to David after his fall, "I would have given you even more."

In this video I accidentally cited a verse as being in 1 Timothy which is actually in 2 Timothy. Sorry for the error.
Jesus is so Zionist that if you dislike the zionists of today's world, boy, are you EVER gonna hate Him!

The church is “Christ’s body” (Ephesians 5:23), yet even Catholics don’t believe the church is literally His physical flesh.
So it makes no sense to insist that when Jesus said, “This is my body” (Luke 22:19), He must have meant His literal flesh.

Yes, I think the administration certainly shares some of the blame. The Iran war has been dragged out for far too long, with bogus attempts to negotiate with a lunatic terrorist regime. Gas is too expensive. So are groceries. Tariffs have destroyed affordability. Of course, some things could've been done better.
But I don't think that alone accounts for this absolute landslide, and I don't think it accounts for young white males swinging this hard to the Left or staying home.
I think young white men have been under a constant barrage of blackpilled demoralization telling them that Israel runs our government, Trump is blackmailed by the "Epstein class," voting does nothing, everything sucks, and they're powerless. I know because I talk to many of these young men. This thinking is ubiquitous among them.
And it's not organic. Also, it doesn't remotely line up with reality. It's an op. A social contagion. Too many podcasters have fallen victim to it, or worse, participated in it. And it's not gaslighting or denying reality to say so.
Joel, have you ever specifically lectured black women for voting almost exclusively for Democrats? Also, if young white men are angry at the Republican Party and Trump, might the Republican Party and Trump bear some blame for that or is it all the fault of “conspiracism” and “anti Semitism”? Is it possible that you might have gotten the affordability issue totally wrong and actually young men are indeed getting screwed by this economy and are holding their political leaders accountable for it? At what point do you guys engage in some of the self reflection that you are encouraging in others?

"You two are living together. Tell me more about that," I said in my office.
"We already know it's not Biblical," the bride-to-be said.
"Okay. Say more."
"What do you mean? I'm saying we know cohabitation isn't Biblical."
"Yeah that's what's confusing me. When you asked to meet, you told me you wanted a pastor who shares your Biblical values to do your wedding, but now you're telling me you knowing don't live according to Biblical values? Tell me about how you decided to cohabitate."
"Well, we know what the Bible says about marriage and sex, but my lease was up and if I moved in with my parents it'd be a 45 minute drive and if I got my own place again, it'd be a waste of thousands of dollars."
"Ah. So time and money are your gods."
"No they aren't, we're Christians."
"Maybe. But it seems like you're not - a god is what tells you how to live. You chose to listen to time and money on sex and cohabitation instead of Jesus. Which is your god?"
"Does this mean you won't do our wedding?"
"I didn't say that. But, you did say you wanted a pastor. That's why we're here. I'm a pastor, not a hireling wedding officiant. Do you want a pastor or a vender for your wedding?"
"A pastor."
"Okay, great. Then here's my concern for you: you've developed a habit of hardening your hearts against the authority of Scripture and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Today, if you hear his voice, don't harden your hearts as they did in the rebellion. You said your Christians, I'll take your word for it right now, but you need to repent and move out until your wedding night. Jesus will certainly forgive if you repent and he'll cleanse you from all unrighteousness."
"Okay. So, if we don't do this then you won't do our wedding?"
"You're missing the point here. You're not even close to worried enough about what God thinks or says. My job as a pastor is to help you care about what God says, not get you to care about what I say.”
“Okay.”
“Do you have anything to say?” I said to the Groom-To-Be.
“No.”
“That’s a bummer. You’re not going to lead this family if you have nothing to say.”
“Okay.”
“Alright. Well, you have a lot to think about. If you want a pastor, I’d be happy to be a part of your wedding. If you want a vendor, let me know. More important than your wedding is your relationship with Jesus. Is He your God or not? Think and pray together.”
*an email three days later*
“We’ve decided to go a different direction.”

Some thoughts:
1. My heart breaks for those who make time and money their god. This idolatry is oppressive.
2. I’d for sure officiate the wedding of two non-Christians. As long as they’re okay with me telling the truth about what marriage is and who and what it’s for, I’m in. This is a 10/10 evangelism opportunity straight out of Eph 5:32.
3. But, two professing Christians who are sinning highhandedly? No. “For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside.” 1 Co 5:12–13).

STATEMENT FROM JACK CAMPBELL
My family and I want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support we’ve received over the past few days. It means more to us than words can express.
I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better.
My faith in God has never been stronger. I know He has a plan for me, and I trust in that plan. I know there may be challenges ahead, but with my faith, my family, and so many people in my corner, I know we’ll get through this.
I especially want to thank the athletic trainers and medical personnel who responded and cared for me on the field. I know those were difficult moments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care you showed me. The way you handled everything and looked after me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I also can’t say enough about the incredible care I’ve received from the medical team at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions medical staff. They’ve been amazing to me and my family throughout this process, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done.
To my teammates, coaches, and everyone in the Lions organization, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. This team is a family to me, and the way everyone has been there for me means everything. I’m proud to be a Detroit Lion and couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better group of people.
One thing I’ve learned about Detroit is that this city is built on toughness, resilience, and grit. That’s exactly how I’m going to approach this challenge.
Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. We feel the love, and I can’t thank everyone enough.
God is good. My faith is strong.

Christ is on the throne in heaven. But not on earth. We were commanded to pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven for a reason. It's because this world needs the return of Christ to reign, and will not be a good world until that day.

I have spent several weeks studying the lives of Elijah and Elisha in the scriptures, both for the sermons I am currently preaching on Sunday mornings, and for my second book, The God of Elijah and Elisha, the writing of which is just beginning in the expectation of its being published in late spring 2027.
Today as I walked to the church, the introduction of the book seemed like it was writing itself in my mind; and if I weren't writing it, it would be a book I'd be excited to read. Looking forward to this process, and asking friends and supporters to pray with me for God to be glorified and His people built up through it.

Baptism is a ritual of representation of the spiritual reality resulting from faith in Christ. Contrary to what this popular teacher says in his post here, if you are unsaved going in, you're just unsaved and wet coming out.

The muslims are explicitly telling you that whether they win or lose the elections in America, they intend to kill you if you don't submit to them. While the devil's Koran does instruct them to lie to non-muslims, you should believe that in statements like this, they are telling the truth.

So what you’re saying is win or lose, you’re a bunch of violent lunatics? Thanks for clarifying. We weren’t quite sure.
