Mr Obi, accountability is important, but it must begin with an accurate presentation of public finances.
You cited ₦15.8 trillion in subsidy savings. Are you unaware that the Ministry of Finance published a breakdown in August showing that approximately ₦5.43 trillion accrued to the FG, ₦6.52 trillion to states and ₦3.88 trillion to LGs?
You also claim Tinubu borrowed over $100 billion. Are you referring to new borrowing or Nigeria’s total outstanding debt, including inherited obligations? Kindly provide the DMO figures supporting your claim.
You demand accountability for education and primary healthcare. Fair enough. But what responsibilities and expenditure obligations belong to states and local governments?
The government has published a fiscal reform scorecard. If you dispute its figures or expenditure explanations, identify the inaccuracies.
Accountability requires accurate figures, proper attribution of responsibilities and evidence—not simply throwing large numbers into a political statement.
GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY
Good day, Mr President.
I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office.
I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target.
Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world.
Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government.
The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Dear @PeterObi
Nigeria’s entire debt today from every government since independence is $120.9 billion. $113.4 billion was owed pre Tinubu
Where did your deliberately dubious $100 billion figure come from?
This is why, outside of the mob, you will never find any support from well-meaning Nigerians.
Your cunning craftiness, mastery of political propaganda, and propensity to twist facts rather than tell the truth—knowing your audience will take your word for it—are visible even to the blind.
@thefactcheckhub and @DubawaFacts, I hope you are seeing this?

Accusing you without evidence ? Ok. 👌
Good afternoon @Ekitipikin,
I don't understand what you're saying at all.
Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I'm not a real person. If that's how you think, fine.
You claimed my state, Anambra, has no substance, and I responded to your false statement.
So now you want to choose for me how I talk on X?
@Ekitipikin, accusing me of retweeting something I'm against without any proof is just trying to create a narrative. But my brother, I won't fall for it. I don't hate you, and I'll say it again.
If you lie about my state, Anambra, I will respond.
Secondly, you have the right to vote for whoever you want.
Please don't try to stir up hate. But if you want to, go ahead. I don't have time for that, and you know it.❤️

Media houses are now using Pre Assist boldly for Lionel Messi, in years to come it will be a normal stat just like they invented Goal and Assist

I’m not from Ekiti, I’m from Ondo State and I can categorically said it here that my state haven’t had a better leader for years, but I’ll never follow some idiots who their state is nothing better to denigrate my state. NEVER
I’ll ask for accountability from my leaders

This is a damning confession.
Watch this video. In her very own words, did Iyabo Obasanjo just admit to knowingly allowing a ghost worker racket to continue because the beneficiaries were members of her political party at the time?
For those who don’t understand Yoruba, here is what she said.
During her tenure as Ogun State Commissioner for Health (2003-2007), she was reportedly informed about individuals who were collecting salaries from the ministry despite neither working nor reporting to the office. Yet, she objected to removing them from the government payroll because they were party members and the amounts involved were supposedly “not much”.
The fact that the amounts were supposedly “not much” does not make it any less troubling. Public funds are public funds, regardless of the political affiliation of those collecting them.
But Ekitikete (road to mountain where new palace is being built) was done and commission in 2022 😭😭😭😭
Nawa for this una lie sha

Hello @IBEDC_NG , by any chance can you explain exactly why there hasn’t been light at all for the past one week? What’s happening?
This man Dey get time reply that animal lol 😂😂😂
First of all, who I choose to vote for is none of your business or anyone else’s. If my choice threatens your existence that’s your own problem not mine because you are not Nigerian than me.
I am well educated, I’m perfectly capable of examining candidates’ past records, watching their interviews, reading their manifestos and making an informed decision.
Whoever I vote for will be my personal choice, based on who I believe will make a positive difference in Nigeria.
I am old enough, educated enough and independent enough to make my own decisions. I don’t need anyone telling me who to vote for.
Respect my choice, just as I respect yours. It’s that simple.
