Greetings from Finland, the land of lakes and forests, a place where Fellas roam, and sisu is strong, where coffee is consumed the most, and metal is the music of choice. Happy 105th independence day, Finland! @Official_NAFO #NAFO #NAFOfellas #Finland

Today, October 30th, my dad has been killed in action. My kind, calm father. I write it here because I know my dad has many friends in the NAFO community, people who he could rely on for help. His memory will perdure on this account. Forever loved and missed. 🛡️🕯️❤️

Witkoff: Putin is a humanitarian Putin:
❗️Today, Russian forces struck a railway station platform in Dnipro, where a train carrying civilians was present. According to preliminary reports, 13 people have been killed and many others injured. Emergency services are working at the scene, providing assistance to those affected. These attacks are yet another horrific example of ongoing crimes against Ukraine and its people. My condolences to the families of those killed. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

Vahvistamme puolustusyhteistyötä Japanin kanssa uudella puolustussopimuksella. Sopimus koskee puolustusmateriaalia ja - teknologiaa sekä tutkimustoimintaa. Allekirjoitin sopimuksen tänään Tokiossa. Japani on Suomelle tärkeä Naton ulkopuolinen kumppani.

NATO accepts, on the condition that Russia push back to its 1462 borders and clear out troops and equipment from countries along NATO’s borders.
⚡️ Russia aims to use Ukraine peace negotiations to push NATO back to its 1997 borders, according to The Telegraph. Diplomatic sources say Moscow wants European nations at the table to demand NATO clear out troops and equipment from countries along Russia's border.

On mukava nähdä, että jaatte postauksiani kansalaisaloitteestamme. Sanon kuitenkin suoraan: se ei valitettavasti riitä. Tarvitsemme henkilökohtaisia suosituksianne, joissa kerrotte, miksi aihe on teille tärkeä.
Syitä on lukemattomia. Yksi niistä: Suomi auttaa venäläisen nikkelin toimittamisessa markkinoille, jotka ovat kieltäneet venäläisen nikkelin tuonnin. Kaikki tiedossamme olevat faktat on kerätty sivulle nikkeli.eu Mikä on sinun syysi kannattaa aloitetta? Kerro se kaikille ja jaa linkki aloitteeseen: kansalaisaloite.fi/fi/aloite…

❓ I thought you were saying President Trump was very polite. 🇺🇦 Zelensky: Up to you. ❓ Do you think Trump is friends with Putin? 🇺🇦 Zelensky: I think, yeah, they're in quite good relations. Yes. It's his personal decision to be friends with Putin or not. I don't play games with Trump. This is my difference between me and Putin. I don't play any games with him. I'm direct, honest. That's it. I'm a normal person. I'm just human. Maybe not such a big humanitarian as Putin. But in any way, I try my best, really.

I'm a millennial. I grew up in a time when questioning what your parents told you was practically a rite of passage. Every house had a dictionary and a thesaurus, and an encyclopedia was never too hard to find. There was a certain pride in proving someone wrong, especially an authority figure. But you had to come prepared. You checked your facts because the last thing you wanted was to confidently enter an argument only to discover you were the one who didn't know what you were talking about. Questioning authority wasn't disrespectful. It was how we learned to think independently. It's also how scientific discoveries have been made, accepted theories challenged, and societies have progressed. So when did we stop questioning? We entered the age of the internet with more information at our fingertips than any generation in human history. We can verify almost anything in seconds, yet somehow we've become increasingly willing to accept whatever someone tells us, provided it agrees with what we already believe. Even when something supports our own opinions, shouldn't we still want to know whether it's true? When did being right become less important than being agreed with? Today, you don't necessarily need facts to win an argument. You need followers. Enough people repeating the same misinformation can create the appearance of credibility, regardless of how easily the original claim can be disproven. And the frightening part is that we're allowing this to happen at a time when facts have enormous consequences. We have billionaires exercising extraordinary influence over American politics and decisions being made in Washington that affect the lives of ordinary people around the world. Over the last four decades, our economies have become so interconnected that American political and economic decisions don't stop at the American border. They affect international markets, businesses, jobs, and the cost of living in countries whose citizens have absolutely no say in those decisions. What was once regarded as one of the most respected and influential countries in the world now has people around the globe questioning the direction it's taking. The American Dream is starting to look more like the American tragedy (corrected by a reader). And what's most disturbing to me isn't even that people are spreading misinformation. That's existed throughout history. It's how many people no longer seem particularly interested in finding out whether what they're repeating is true. We used to take pride in questioning the people who told us what to believe. Now people will defend a complete stranger on the internet more passionately than they'll defend the facts sitting right in front of them. We have never had easier access to the truth. When did we stop looking for the truth? And when did it stop being embarrassing to be so confidently wrong?

I addressed the participants of the plenary session of the Ukraine–Finland Business Forum. Finland is a very important partner for us, and we are grateful for your support. We have a Drone Deal between our countries. And the Drone Deal works. Let’s build on this with practical steps, so we can produce more of the drones that both Ukraine and Finland need. Our capacity to produce drones here in Ukraine is several times greater than the funding we have available today. So let’s use this potential to strengthen our common security. Even though things are not easy now, let’s work on joint economic projects. Every investment in Ukraine today also helps us stay strong. Let’s do this. We have the Finnish-Ukrainian Investment Facility, and this is a good example. Let’s use every opportunity we have.

Venäläisen nikkelin tuontikieltoa vaativa kansalaisaloitteemme on kerännyt yli 1200 kannatusilmoitusta. Se on hieno tulos, ja nyt pyydän kahta asiaa: 1) Kerro asiasta viidelle tutullesi 2) Kirjoita twiitti, jossa kerrot, miksi kannatat aloitetta kansalaisaloite.fi/fi/aloite…
