Due to Hurricane Isaias, our AI Bootcamp debate has been rescheduled to Friday, Oct. 23 (4–5 pm).
PS: One thing we did learn, however, is that Google's AI hurricane models (built on decades of publicly funded meteorological data and research) seem to be pretty good. Stay safe!

Next session tomorrow!
Want to learn more about AI's applications in chemistry?
Starting Aug. 6, @ChemistryFsu's AI Bootcamp will take place over six sessions, beginning with an introduction to large language models and concluding with a discussion on the benefits, risks, and future of AI in education.
Hosted by Assistant Professor Wen Zhu and Cottrell Family Professor Oliver Steinbock, both from @ChemistryFsu, the AI Bootcamp will feature talks by faculty and staff from across @FloridaState — @fsulibraries, @FSUSciComp, @FSUComputerSci, @FSUiSchool and more!
There will also be guest lectures from folks affiliated with @PNNLab, @CMUEngineering, @uflorida, @EmoryUniversity, and Synfini.
It is not required to attend all six sessions.
Each session will be held in the Chemical Sciences Laboratory (Room 1005), except the Aug. 7 session, which will be held in Room 1003.
For event details and registration, visit: wzhulab.com/aibootcamp.
Thrilled to share that our pilot project has been funded by NIH! We’re grateful for the support from NINDS and excited to advance our work on understudied proteins and their role in rare neurological disease.
