Jefferson County North (1A) junior QB Will Elias last Friday vs Onaga: 23 rushes for 224 yards. Also threw for 41 yards. Will had a 60 yard rush with under two minutes in the 4th quarter down to the one yard line. JCN trailed 22-20 at the time, and his rush set up the go ahead touchdown on the next play from scrimmage. Big play at a critical time for Chargers to get the win. JCN, led by head coach Jeff Schneider, is 3-1 on the season and took runner up in 1A last season. Great job by coach and this group this year after losing a loaded cast of players in 2023 season. #sportsinkansas

Early morning send off and pep rally for the 1A 🏈Jefferson County North Chargers, complete with a police escort. Making school history as they head to their first ever title game for football in school history as they take on Conway Springs in Hays on Saturday. Jefferson County North (11-1) has played the underdog all year and has been very impressive throughout the playoffs showing they are one of the best small school football teams in Kansas. JCN offense is led by Grady Noll who has rushed for over 1,000 yards and passed for 1,000 plus more on the season. Ethan Noll has over 80 tackles to lead the defense along with an impressive nine interceptions from Conor Keirns. Great work this season by HC Jeff Schneider. #sportsinkansas
