Last year, when Black Revolutionary elder Jamil Al-Amin died, NOLA native Cierra Chernier noticed the lack of coverage or commemoration offered by the Louisiana press given Al-Amin was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She’s here to correct the record.

I’m honestly impressed by Sarah’s knowledge on Gaza. This piece of information is a rare gem which veteran MENA correspondents don’t actually know.
Hamas immediately crushed ISIS once it started to emerge in Gaza.

I'm preparing to teach a course on anticolonial resistance history for students in Gaza. They have been involved in an anticolonial struggle themselves and hopefully this will be a chance for them not only to study the history and theory but to contribute to documenting their own experiences. We want to equip them with the knowledge and skills to be Guerrilla Historians!
They need internet access/data for the course and we want to hire local teaching assistants to make the pedagogical experience valuable for these students. Their lives and educations have been disrupted by genocide, siege, and every possible challenge. But they are determined to keep learning, studying, and developing for their future. Let's make that possible!

JUST IN:
IRGC spokesman said 7 strategic undersea internet cables running beneath the Strait of Hormuz have been placed on its target list and warned that they could be attacked if another war breaks out.
The cables are critical because the Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most important routes for submarine communications infrastructure, carrying internet and data traffic between the Gulf states and the wider world. Damage to these cables could disrupt internet connectivity, financial transactions, communications and other digital services across the region.
Earlier this month, Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei also warned that Tehran could target undersea internet cables, data centers and AI facilities linked to the US if another war broke out.

Time and time again: People still use this ridiculous argument about Israel funding Hamas.
They shrug off that Hamas was the government running the entire Gaza Strip with political offices, hospitals, mosques, schools, police, and a society of equal human beings.
Unfortunately, these harping on this story seem to have wanted not only Hamas which is composed of Palestinians not aliens from Mars to be strangled but also all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to be suffocated. Even under international law, the occupying power has to take care of the occupied people.
Without Israel allowing food and water, Gaza would’ve vanished decades ago. So by these people’s logic, Israel funds Gazans. It’s Israel’s fault that it didn’t wipe them out or starve them earlier.
Make no mistake that Israel also still allows money and food to get into Gaza, which probably means for these people that it’s wrong and Israel shouldn’t because Hamas is still there administering the occupied territory.
This is a liberal Zionist propaganda which implies that Israel should have strangulated the enclave’s people long ago.

BREAKING: Iran's IRGC is now threatening to completely cut off the world's internet, with spokesman Hossein Mohebi saying seven major cables run under the Strait of Hormuz that global data depends on, warning: "we are reminding them of this so that the enemy knows," per Fars News.
The threat follows Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf's announcement of a "Persian Gulf Data Authority" and SNSC Secretary Mohsen Rezaee's warning that over $2 trillion in data centers would be destroyed if war resumes.
The significance is the target itself. These cables carry roughly 99% of intercontinental data and trillions in daily financial transactions. A successful strike could wipe out 70% to 90% of the Gulf's internet connectivity, crippling global commerce. Iran is making it clear: if the US strikes its energy infrastructure, the next target will be the digital backbone of the global economy.

BREAKING: Iran now says it has successfully reverse-engineered the technology of the 14-ton bomb the US dropped on Iran during the 12-Day War, and is now preparing the "father of missiles" for America, per Fars News.
Sardar Naqdi, identified as a top IRGC commander, said: "The Americans' mother bomb is 10 tons; but in the 12-day war, they dropped a 14-ton bomb on Iran that did not work. Now all the technologies of the 14-ton bomb have been analyzed and are in our possession. If they are hit by such a bomb as well, they should know where its technology came from to us."
The claim comes as Washington weighs using the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), the 21,600-pound "mother of all bombs," against Iranian energy and nuclear sites.
