#swordandsorcery #fantasy has a new hero: the Wanderer.
Carrying the axe of her peoples, an exiled Orc journeys through a brutal, uncivilised world.
Carving a legend and more.

The Hellborn King Saga started with one book and turned into a much bigger, darker story than I expected. Three books are out now, with Book IV in progress.
If you like war, flawed rulers, revenge, political fallout and choices that refuse to stay buried, this is my corner of fantasy.

A wandering, exiled Orc? Impending destruction by dragons? Yes, in the two sequels I look at in my latest video, where I take a look at 'The Wanderer: Remains of a Bloodline' by @Broken_Scribe and 'Bloodforged Dawn' by @DWARussell22

I have new (vintage) LEGO arriving today. Even old stick men can get excited about hobbies that take them back to their childhood.

🩸SLEDGE-TOBERFEST🩸
Day XXIII of XXXI
A SLEDGENDARY COMEBACK
@BeardofDarkness put @SledgevsBooks on the feed after a long absence.
Hour-long. Live. No soft questions. No clean answers.
Where he’s been.
What tried to bury him.
What he rebuilt with.
The grind.
The setbacks.
The refusal to stay down.
He walked through it the same way Sledge walks through a kill zone.
He called it a triumphant return. Said he had a blast.
That is the sound of a man who already decided the next transmission is coming.
Drop the line that hit hardest once you watch it...

Join me over on Grindhouse Gospel today as we talk about the absolutely bonkers Ken Russell film, Lair of the White Worm! This one's got Amanda Donohoe vamping it up, hokey snake effects, and a young Hugh Grant!

🩸SLEDGE-TOBERFEST🩸
Day XXII of XXXI
BLOOD 🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
THE LABYRINTH was already soaked in it….
Ten depths. Ten killers. And the one man they cannot kill.
Streamed assassins. Dark-web kill-game. He walks in with forty pounds of iron and walks out with the machine’s blood on him. No guns. No clean finishes. Just force. Momentum. Energy. Skulls. Pulp. The eyes watching online.
That was the first coat.
The Wendigo doesn’t wipe it off. It just adds ice and hunger on top.
The hammer already knows the work. It learned it underground.
Drop the Labyrinth kill that still sits with you…

Another Horror film rec as we come to spooky season. The Haunting (1963) is an incredible film built on suspense and tension, with brilliant sound design. Even 63 years later it's still incredibly powerful. Don't bother with the CGI mess of a remake.
