The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Canada’s Minister of Industry, visited our Montréal team to see how we’re expanding the mission operations, space systems development, and advanced manufacturing capabilities needed to scale Pulsar toward our full 250+ satellite constellation.
Announced today, a $15 million investment from the Government of Canada through the Strategic Response Fund will support Xona’s $64.8 million project to expand the industrial and operational infrastructure behind Pulsar.
Six Pulsar satellites deployed successfully on Bandwagon-5.
Commissioning will occur over the weeks ahead in support of serving early customers mid next year.

6 Xona Pulsar sats are locked and loaded for the SpaceX Bandwagon launch Monday morning. Their next-gen GPS antenna is visible (the white rings on center left), very different from their first flown design, from the post below.
A fantastic new addition to the space museum at work: the first GPS payload from Xona 🛰
You can see a standard L-band antenna array in the outer ring of 12 squares and the next-gen C-band array in the inner circle of 5. Xona is building a constellation of GPS sats in LEO to 100x the power and resiliency of existing GPS systems, even enabling it to work indoors.
Xona’s first demo sats were named Huginn and Muninn after the two ravens of the Norse god Odin (meaning "thought" and "memory"). Muninn would have been the second to fly, but they learned all they needed to learn from Huginn… and so I have the flight version to save for posterity.
Xona has built their next gen Pulsar satellites in house, and I signed the first one (which will launch with SpaceX in October). The wall art shows a 1:1 scale of Pulsar with the solar panel wings unfolded. A constellation of 258 of these satellites costs less than one legacy GPS sat today.

This week, we've been honored to welcome Representatives @RepTedLieu, @Rep_Walkinshaw, and @HouseCommerce Chairman @RepGuthrie to Xona for a firsthand look at how we're building the next generation of satellite navigation.
With six Pulsar satellites launching this month, these conversations come at a pivotal moment as commercial innovation accelerates the deployment of new, resilient navigation solutions designed for the threats of today.
Ready for launch. Ready for service.
Six Pulsar satellites head to orbit this month, kicking off deployment of our commercial navigation service.
Four will enable early customer service, while two in-house-built spacecraft lay the groundwork for scaling our constellation.
Our first deployment will deliver ~8 broadcasts per day across the U.S., Canada, and much of Europe, each lasting ~25 minutes, each with a window enabling 4-in-view positioning.
This early service brings real value with another layer of timing for critical infrastructure applications while proving what's possible with a Pulsar-only positioning solution that will continue improving as we scale toward continuous global coverage.

With FCC approval in hand and six sats ready for the pad, @XonaSpace is turning to its next challenge: building the next 250.
To do so, the company is making a few key moves, including:
🛻 Hiring Waymo veteran Patrick Cadariu as COO,
🛰️ Beginning production on four more sats in Burlingame, CA,
🇨🇦 Expanding in Montreal.
Payload reporter @vicky_woodburn sat down with Cadariu to hear how the company is planning for this next, production-heavy chapter. Link in the comments.
Today, we're sharing a number of ways Xona is expanding our investment in manufacturing to support our constellation deployment.
First, we're excited to welcome Patrick Cadariu as Chief Operating Officer, bringing deep manufacturing and supply chain experience from Waymo.
Four additional Pulsar spacecraft are entering production in our Burlingame factory, with ramp to rate production through 2027, reaching capacity to produce multiple satellites per week by year-end.
