This is my concern as well.
I think you can be excited about AI and still take seriously the threat it poses to our financial stability (especially over the next few years).
My goal is to stay grounded. Pretending either half is not happening is foolish.
Marco puts his finger on the one AI issue that we ALL should be concerned about: What happens when so many of the jobs disappear?
Instead of spreading fear about datacenters, we should be talking about this issue with urgency.
Here's a wild idea:
What if people who hate AI just... didn't use it?
And people who enjoy using AI could simply keep using it?
No insults. No constant lectures. No treating the other side like they're stupid.
> You don't have to love AI.
> You don't have to hate AI.
> And you definitely don't have to agree on everything.
Totally wild idea? Isn't it?
Policing the things people watch to feed their inner child some joy is frankly asinine.
I called to cancel my health insurance because I couldn't afford the premium anymore.
The rep asked why I wanted to cancel.
I told her I'm paying $685 a month for a family plan with a $9,000 deductible.
That's $8,220 a year before I've even paid for a single doctor's visit, prescription, or emergency room bill.
So if someone in my family gets seriously sick, I'm still looking at thousands of dollars in medical expenses on top of the premiums I've already been paying all year.
I asked her what exactly I'm supposed to do with a plan like that.
She explained that the policy was designed to help cover eligible medical expenses after I met my deductible.
I told her I understood how insurance works. What I don't understand is how a family can pay more than $8,000 a year for coverage and still be terrified of getting sick.
She didn't have an answer.
WE'VE CREATED A HEALTHCARE SYSTEM WHERE PEOPLE ARE PAYING THOUSANDS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM MEDICAL BILLS THEY STILL CAN'T AFFORD.
Not really big on "Rocky 7: Rocky is REALLY Old Now" .... I mean, I'm sure it would be therapy for Sylvester, but he should do that shit in private.
Sylvester Stallone reveals he has written a script for Rocky 7, but isn't sure if fans would care enough to watch it
He says the story would explore Rocky's life outside of the ring, and how the world has drastically changed around him

For my fellow cam models/content creators who are confused why many of our sites are "under maintenance" - this is going on all over the web: ‘This Is Not a Drill’: Critical PHP Vulnerabilities Are Setting the Internet on Fire reddit.com/r/technology/comm… via @reddit
If you all haven't seen "Crystal Lake" yet on Peacock, it's fantastic. Loved every minute of it. The writers and actors really come through. The only thing it's missing is nudity.

Getting tired of dealing with and hearing about studios not paying, and wanting trade like that’s a fair offer. It’s never fair to work trade with a brand that can out market you and will not promote YOUR brand bc the whole point is to exploit labor.
We're SOOOOOO fucked.
Crystal Lake showrunner Brad Caleb Kane says he tried to get more explicit nudity into the series
"I tried. That’s America. You can give the kids the violence, but God forbid they see some breasts."

Anonymity is one of the best guards we have against consequences ranging from social embarrassment to overt government oppression. So why are we giving it up without a fight?

People keep posting this stuff with absolute confidence, but it's utter and complete hogwash. If you don't think AI has any worthwhile use then you simply haven't bothered to learn to use it. Yet.

I would make a fansly or a SextPanther before OnlyFans unless you’re already a big name. These sites have discoverability, a large and healthy paying customer base, and they won’t randomly delete your account because of an AI flagged your content.
