కర్ణాటక ప్రభుత్వం ఏడు జిల్లాల నుంచి పెట్రోల్ శాంపిల్స్ సేకరించి పరీక్షించింది.
▪️ దాదాపు ప్రతి ఐదు శాంపిల్స్‌లో నాలుగింట్లో 20% కంటే ఎక్కువ ఇథనాల్.
▪️ IOCL శాంపిల్‌లో 31.2%, HPCL శాంపిల్‌లో 30.5%!
▪️ మొదట శాంపిల్స్‌ను చమురు కంపెనీల సొంత ల్యాబ్‌లకే పంపితే,
ఇథనాల్ ఎంత శాతం ఉందో ఆ నివేదికల్లో చెప్పకుండా దాచిపెట్టారు!

మైలేజ్ తగ్గుతుంది, ఇంజిన్ పాడవుతుంది, రిపేర్ ఖర్చు పెరుగుతుంది.
ఒక్క కర్ణాటకలోనే వాహనదారులపై ఏటా సుమారు ₹1 లక్ష కోట్ల భారం అని ఆ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ అంచనా.
కేంద్ర మంత్రివర్యులు నితిన్ గడ్కరీ గారు ఇథనాల్ కలిపితే పెట్రోల్ లీటర్ ₹55కే వస్తుందన్నారు.
ధర తగ్గలేదు, లీటర్ ₹100 పైనే.
ఇథనాల్ పెరిగింది, మైలేజ్ తగ్గింది, రిపేర్లు పెరిగాయి.
సామాన్యుడికి మూడు వైపులా దెబ్బ!

Shocking Fact: E20 at the Pump, E31 in the Tank!⛽
The Karnataka government collected petrol samples from seven districts and tested them.
▪️ Nearly four out of every five samples contained more than 20% ethanol.
▪️ The IOCL sample had **31.2% ethanol**, while the HPCL sample had **30.5%!**
▪️ Initially, when the samples were sent to the oil companies' own laboratories, their reports did not disclose the actual ethanol percentages.
▪️ That raised concerns, prompting fresh tests at independent NABL-accredited laboratories, which revealed the actual figures.
Now, think about this for a moment.
Our vehicles are designed for E20 fuel, and some older vehicles aren't even compatible with that.
What happens when fuel containing 30% ethanol goes into such vehicles?
Mileage drops, engines may suffer damage, and repair costs increase.
According to the Karnataka government's estimate, motorists in the state could face an annual burden of approximately **₹1 lakh crore**.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had claimed that ethanol blending would bring petrol prices down to just ₹55 per litre.
But prices haven't come down. Petrol still costs over ₹100 per litre.
Ethanol content has increased, mileage has dropped, and repair expenses have gone up.
The common man is getting hit from all three sides!
Why are oil companies reluctant to disclose exactly what goes into the petrol they sell?
What is the Union Petroleum Ministry doing about this?
And what about Andhra Pradesh?
Does anyone know how much ethanol is actually being blended into the petrol sold at our fuel stations?
The Andhra Pradesh government must also conduct independent laboratory tests immediately and make the results public.
Consumers have the right to know what they are paying for! Does our engines are safe?
Protecting consumers from exploitation and ensuring accountability are our foremost responsibilities. The Department of Legal Metrology, led by Minister Shri @ArshadRizwan has conducted extensive inspections across Karnataka under Mission Nikhara. Independent laboratory tests have revealed alarming levels of ethanol blending in petrol samples from major oil companies, with some recording levels as high as 31.2%, well beyond the prescribed E20 limit.
While the Union Government speaks of the benefits of ethanol blending and energy security, it cannot turn a blind eye to the violation of E20 norms and blend more ethanol thereby imposing financial burden on ordinary citizens. Reduced mileage, potential vehicle damage and rising maintenance costs are concerns that deserve serious attention. It is unacceptable that consumers should bear the cost while oil companies continue to report substantial profits.
We demand that the Union Government:
1. Publicly disclose the actual ethanol content in petrol supplied across the country.
2. Initiate strict legal action against oil companies found exceeding the prescribed blending limits and make petrol pump level audit reports public.
3. Establish an E20 Damage Compensation Fund with a simple, time-bound mechanism to compensate affected vehicle owners.
4. Make disclosure of ethanol blending levels mandatory at every petrol station and ensure consumers have the choice of fuel suitable for their vehicles.
The Government of Karnataka will continue its inspections and stand firmly with consumers to ensure transparency, accountability and the right to quality fuel at every petrol station.

Irregularities continue to taint the local body elections under @ncbn. We witnessed democracy being undermined from nominations through polling. The wrongdoing did not stop there. As during the municipal election count, officials are now being pressured during the ZPTC and MPTC vote count, with results being manipulated in several districts. Democracy is being undermined at every turn.
Chandrababu may have won the election, but he has suffered a moral defeat. We may have lost the election, but we have won the hearts of the people.
