Massive midterm con in the super-close Nevada gov race — GOP is propping up third-party spoiler candidate Danielle Ford to siphon votes from surging Dem candidate, @AaronDFordNV. They’re falsely implying she’s endorsed by AOC in mailers and Snapchat ads.

Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order.

🔥SHOCKING: 7 REPUBLICANS supported a bank-friendly stablecoin amendment hours before the CLARITY Act vote.
The proposal would broaden what counts as bank-like interest, making stablecoin rewards easier to restrict.
Introduced by Rep Sen. Jerry Moran, it had 11 co-sponsors, including six fellow Republicans.
Three of the four Republicans who voted against CLARITY were among its backers.
However, the amendment was never added because CLARITY failed before debate began.

You can punch the air about democrats all you want, but the most basic common sense take is that CLARITY would have encountered FAR less resistance had the Trump family not rugged millions of *their own supporters* through pump-and-dump memecoins and defi scams

Mike, come on man.
The Dems have made a lot of dumb decisions about crypto, but this wasn’t one of them.
Read what you wrote:
-One side didn’t want a corrupt President extracting wealth and abusing the office.
-The other side wanted ethics enforceable by a non-Trump appointee.
Turning this into a “both sides” matter is the problem.
This industry seems to lack the ability to callout Republicans with their full chest.
Crypto advocates will lash out at Dems, or claim it’s a both sides issue.
But when it comes to calling out Trump, everyone is too afraid of backlash to do it head on.
So let me help you out here:
“18 months of bipartisan progress was torpedoed by Trump’s greed and corruption”
This industry sold out to him and is paying the price for it.
Until leaders in this space can call that out in a frank way, we will never see the corruption subside, and we don’t deserve the progress and opportunities contained in that bill.
Because in good conscience you cannot tell me we should have safe harbors to sell to the public, when we can’t even call out one man’s corruption.
Govt feels broken. 18 months of work between our industry, dems and republicans and Clarity falls apart on the 5 yard line. All the issues got to a hard fought compromise other than one. On Ethics both sides dug in and decided their stance was more important than the long run good of a major industry and our countries chance to lead it. Republicans were afraid of putting real limits on a President’s ability to profit from digital assets. Dems decided that this one industry is where they would fight a corruption battle. They were scared to be seen doing anything that could be perceived as being soft on the President.
There had been a bi-partisan proposal that would have worked but it got hi-jacked in the politics of it all.
I am very disappointed that neither side could find a way to cross that chasm. I know there is an election in 7 weeks and that dominated the actions of both sides. What is crazy is the I honestly don’t believe crypto and this bill will be a top 10 issue in this election. It was in 2024 but this year will be about the war, inflation, affordability, Ai , immigration and what party has a better answer to those questions.
I do have faith that the SEC and CFTC will drive on with rules for the road and hopefully in time congress will find a way to memorialize them so people can have a longer term confidence in how digital assets will be treated in the US.
Maybe Mitch McConnell coming back in a wheel chair after 90 days was s comic signs to amplify how broken Congress is.
We go back to work tomorrow. And continue building.

I agree - this IS common sense.
It is ALSO common sense that the American people should not be punished or gatekept from new opportunities because Congress refuses to be open minded about an entire industry.
Nuance is dead in Congress too it seems.
