Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink visited York on Friday, October 2, meeting with company leadership and touring York’s Willow headquarters production facility. The visit provided a firsthand look at York’s spacecraft manufacturing capabilities, supported by the company’s $755 million investment in production capacity and spacecraft inventory. York's Bard mission, developed in collaboration with @NASA and @JHUAPL has been nominated for @aiaa Small Satellite Mission of the Year. Voting is now open: sites.google.com/aiaa-smstc.… Launched in July 2025, Bard hosts the PExT payload, a software-defined radio intended to demonstrate communications with both government and commercial networks as NASA looks ahead to replacing the aging TDRS relay satellite constellation. Bard completed all of its mission objectives and has been extended for another year with additional partners to demonstrate communications with and enhance the automation of communication relay tasking.
