Het rot in de samenleving is lelijk zichtbaar vandaag.

The HELLLL??!! 😭😲 Who approved these English pronunciations?! What happened to all the letters in the middle? The silent letters are just unpaid extras then??😭💀🫠

I was expecting Israel to be a little America—mostly English-speaking, a land full of convenience.
What I found was distinctly Middle Eastern—the people are brash, speak with their hands, and often don't know a lick of English. There are stray cats everywhere, mopeds, and graffiti. The street signs are in Hebrew, English, and Arabic. There is a mosque on prime beachfront property in Tel Aviv.
There is every kind of citizen imaginable. I saw Ethiopian Jews serving in the IDF. While touring an ancient Jewish site, I ran into a group of Arab schoolchildren also there to learn. I met a Mizrahi cab driver whose parents fled Morocco in the 50s.
Douglas Murray famously made Americans irate when he flamed Dave Smith on an episode of Joe Rogan for having never traveled to Israel—but he’s right. Visiting Israel shows you just how wrong the west is about the Jewish state.
Just go there.

This is what a fake apology looks like by @VTMNIEUWS:
“Yesterday, we talked about 7.5 million Palestinians who do not have a vote in these elections. We were referring to people without Israeli passports living in East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank. However, that figure appears to be incorrect, the actual number is apparently lower.”
Really??
No accurate number. No clarification of the misleading impression viewers were left with. No apology.
We are still waiting for VTM to publish a clear correction and an apology on its own social media channels.
What kind of misleading headline is this, @VTMNIEUWS?
VTM’s headline claims that “7.5 million Palestinians have no vote” in its coverage of Israel’s elections.
Who exactly is included in that figure?
If it includes 2 million Israeli Arab citizens, the claim is wrong. They have the same voting rights as other Israeli citizens, run for office and serve in the Knesset.
If it includes 5 million Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza, they generally do not hold Israeli citizenship and therefore do not vote in Israeli national elections. Combining these populations under one sweeping headline misleads viewers.
A reminder: the last Palestinian parliamentary elections were in 2006. President Mahmoud Abbas has now postponed the November 2026 elections until September 2027, despite commitments to international partners. His promise to hold elections was among the commitments underpinning France’s recognition of a Palestinian state.
Recognition went ahead. The elections did not.
A report about democracy should begin by getting the electorate right.

Toeval?

Disgrace for @MSF as Switzerland freezes CHF1.25m in funding following 59 reports of sexual exploitation of Sudanese refugees in Chad. 18 staff dismissed. Swiss authorities say MSF breached its reporting obligations. NGOs with too much power, too little accountability.

Spotlight on us:
The Netherlands has a Muslim Brotherhood problem, and its own security reports act like it does not exist. The AIVD's annual report for 2025, published in April, names Russia 58 times and the Brotherhood zero times, and the NCTV terror threat assessment from June 2026 runs page after page on jihadists and online radicalisation without a single line on the Brotherhood either.
This is the same country whose parliament voted on 17 March to ban the Brotherhood and the organisations linked to it. Seven months later there is still NO ban, and last Friday MPs had to ask the justice minister what the government knows about these networks.
You cannot ban what you refuse to write down.
BTW, the Muslim Brotherhood is banned in the UAE.
This question backfired 😅
The most laughably stupid Israeli hasbara line you’ll hear today: “Arabs can vote in Israel, so it can’t be apartheid.”
Now tell me: how can more than 700,000 Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, vote in Israeli elections, while Palestinians living in the same territory cannot?

According to @VTMNIEUWS:
“Elections in Israel: 7.5 million Palestinians have no vote.”
That’s like reporting:
“Elections in Belgium: 18 million Dutch people have no vote”
I explained it in Flemish (English subtitles)

Watch: A fearless Canadian woman finally said what so many are thinking. She interrupted a mass Muslim prayer in downtown Toronto, where pro-Palestinian activists blocked off an entire public area.
Not because mosques were lacking (there are plenty nearby).

The Syrian Government says there was “no prior coordination” with Jordan over the series of deadly airstrikes in the Daraa countryside. Damascus says it is investigating “all the circumstances of this targeting,” and maintaining communication and coordination with Jordan.
