Give me a break
đ¨đŁď¸@DanyalHKhan: âFrom what I understand and what I've been told from sources around Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes has been back to his best [in training] in the last 48 hours.â [sky] #MUFC

One source close to #mufc feels it is INEVITABLE Jason Wilcox will eventually lose his job IF a third managerial change in as many seasons is made.
Another senior figure says that BOTH Wilcox and Berrada may be vulnerable.

Peter Schmeichel: âJim [Ratcliffe] has brought Omar [Berrada] from Manchester City, he brings Jason Wilcox. He brings the guy who is Head of the Academy in Manchester City. We're not Manchester City. We're Manchester United. They don't understand what the club is supposed to be.â [@WeAreTheOverlap] #MUFC
WOOOOOOOF Knives are out for our dead club
Peter Schmeichel on Jason Wilcox:
âWe have people who openly, in their playing careers, stated that they hated Manchester United. Playing for clubs they were enemies of Manchester United. With very little experience, all of a sudden, they're in decision-making jobs at Manchester United.
I just don't understand why he's there. I mean, when you played for Leeds, you know, you're supposed to hate Man United. And of course, he hated Man United.â

And I quote Michael Carrick when being asked about the players passion: "Oh, come on. Thatâs ridiculous."
Ridiculous.

My ÂŤpassion- discussionâ with Manchester United - manager Carrick in writing
Me:
I guess in management there are so many buzzwords hanging around, like passion, intensity and âgo for itâ. But would you accept that there was a lack of passion in the first half?
Michael Carrick:
Oh, come on. Thatâs ridiculous.
Me:
Thatâs not how you assessed it?
Michael Carrick:
You played football. You understand. Thatâs a ridiculous thing to say. Just because you get beat doesnât mean you donât care about it.
Me:
No, Iâm not saying that you didnât care about it. I think the thing that came over, if you look at it, was that they came with passion. Thatâs what I mean. I understand that you care about it, but would you accept that they took you on that front, so to say?
Michael Carrick:
No, no. The two goals came from set plays. Other than that, we had opportunities. That was where the game was.
I donât think it was passion or anything to do with that. I think it was just their moments that made the difference in the game.
Me:
Is it these duels? Is that what you mean? That these two duels were the goals? Because they had chances. There were consequences there from the game that you could see that they would get at you.
Michael Carrick:
Itâs a game of football, itâs a Premier League game. Itâs their first game at home, and weâve seen it many times before. You know, I said it before the game because it was always going to be a tough game. And set-plays, yeah, thatâs it. Weâve been decent over a period of time at dealing with them, and today we didnât. You know, we can look into that, we can dissect it. We certainly wonât get carried away with the positives or the negatives. We never do.
So I think we can stay calm and understand what we need to get better at.
Me:
Because of the World Cup, itâs been a funny and short pre-season. Will the first game be used to adjust to that, to find your team, to find the way you want to play? Maybe new players in, or all the new players you already have in. Is it that kind of season?
Michael Carrick:
No, listen, just because the result went against us, you know, we donât need to look into all sorts of different things. I think sometimes results can happen in football. We donât want them to happen against us, of course we donât. We understand inside what we need to get better at, and we will do.
You know, weâve added to the group. Weâve got a stronger group. Finding that rhythm, those connections, and keep moving forward.
So one game wonât knock us from that.
Me:
I hate to ask about players, and I wonât do it and Iâll try to do it in a clever way. But I will say, when you see your team now, if youâre going to go into the market again, where would you like to go?
Michael Carrick:
Weâre trying to improve the squad, so weâll see what happens in the rest of the window.

After Hull, Carrick snapped at Jan for asking about the players effort in the game, he has been indignant about questions of running despite all evidence for months. Now the narrative for Carrick keeping the job is questioning the standards of the players⌠theyâre his standards!
Omar and Jason should be sacked for this. They have no idea how to run a football club the size of United.

Not sure I'm going to be able to bring myself to watch anymore of our games while these "decision-makers" are still employed at this club.
#mufc's decision-makers are not fully sold on available coaches like Antonio Conte, Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann.

- 1 win in 8 league games.
- 2 wins in 12 games (all comps).
- 5 defeats in last 8 games.
- 7 goals conceded in last 2 games, 1 scored.
- 0 big chance against Bournemouth, who created 6 and scored 3.
Yet Carrick is still employed and taking team training today?
WE ARE COMPLETELY FINISHED!!!

i'm told ineos were underprepared, as well as financial reasons being the main reasons as to why they decided to keep carrick. literally nearly every staff expected carrick to go after bournemouth. it's so bad that it's laughable
Understand one of the main reasons #MUFC have decided to keep Michael Carrick is due to financial reasons. Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the final decision after talks involving Glazers, Berrada & Wilcox. Carrick could have #CFC, #Roma & #AVFC games. @UtdDistrict roundtable.io/sports/soccer/âŚ

I think we know that if Gary had turned on Carrick, he wouldnât have been kept in the job.
Gary Neville to Sky Sports on Carrick decision: 'Iâm surprised but Iâm happy because I was absolutely certain that what I witnessed on Sunday would be the end of Michael. It looked like it when he was walking around at the end on his own like it was almost a goodbye lap.' #mufc

Carrick stays.
After eight without a win, an owners meeting and days of talks, United have decided the answer is to change nothing.
Not convinced by the options, but convinced by eight without a win. Rank incompetence from the top down.
