Our apple tree seems to think it’s Spring and has started flowering for the second time this year.

It's a sunny bank holiday Sunday and @SouthernWater have decided to mark the occasion by releasing enormous amounts of sewage across the south east 💩 The following locations have had sewage releases within the last 24 hours: Sheerness Whitstable Herne Bay Margate* Broadstairs* Folkestone Sandgate Hythe Camber* St Leonards Bexhill Birling Gap Seaford Worthing* Littlehampton Middleton-on-Sea* Felpham Bognor Regis Pagham Langstone Harbour Southsea Stokes Bay Bembridge* Whitecliff Bay Yaverland Sandown Shanklin Ventnor Cowes Gurnard Colwell Bay Totland Bay * indicates a location where there has been a sewage release that @SouthernWater deem to be 'non-impacting' and therefore hidden from their map.

For 700 years of history, the tallest building on Earth was a church. But do you ever wonder how medieval society built them — with no power tools or modern machines? The answer may surprise you... (thread) 🧵

Here are the most FASCINATING facts I could find about Mexico: 1. Mexico is so huge it’s hard to comprehend. You can fit 30 European countries in Mexico and still have room to spare

I suspect Rishi may have a serious fight on his hands in Richmond with this manifesto
Hello Earth! I am proud to unveil the 2024 Count Binface general election manifesto, which I feel sure will be the most sensible manifesto published today. #MakeYourVoteCount #BindependenceDay

The Tory party have received unfair criticism this last few weeks. In the interests of balance,I’ve posted some charts below which show performance in various key areas such as life expectancy, the NHS, trade, immigration and the economy 🧵 #GeneralElection2024

Couldn’t quite believe that I had to give in and reach for my winter jumper yesterday. 1st of June for goodness sake! Still, 21 degrees forecast today so hopefully it can go back into the wardrobe!

Not on my high street. The local tories ran a campaign to reverse the closure of the high street (which allowed outside eating and drinking) because they said it was bad for business.

I’ve seen this photo a few times recently showing two photos separated by 66 years. What is just as interesting to me is how many of the comments claim one of these didn’t happen. It’s blatant here, but twisting truth and denying history is a worrying trend.

He might have become a divisive figure to many, but he often spoke the truth and this about global power is spot on
I’ve never seen this clip, from a few years ago. The best articulation of simple geopolitical reality I’ve seen in a long time. Even a simpleton could understand it, if only they’d listen. God I miss grown up, well-read, pragmatic and convincing leaders.
