1. Announce you’re undercover 2. Enter festivities with grumpy face 3. Carry your security along; who are dressed exactly opposite to the crowd 4. Post it online. 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡 PR is killing professionalism across the board !

He slept beside homeless people to understand poverty. Years later, his work helped shape India’s fight against hunger. Belgian-born economist Jean Drèze didn’t just study poverty through statistics and research papers. In 1980s London, he lived alongside homeless people, cooked meals with squatters in an abandoned hospital and helped organise a movement to open empty buildings to those with nowhere to live. Born in 1959, he moved to India in 1979 and spent years studying rural life, listening to villagers and understanding the realities behind hunger and inequality. In 2002, he became an Indian citizen, making India the home of both his life and his work. Drèze went on to play a key role in the Right to Food Campaign and helped shape landmark social policies, including MGNREGA, which guarantees rural households paid work, and the National Food Security Act. His research also explored child nutrition, education and healthcare. For Drèze, economics has always been about more than numbers. It is about understanding people’s struggles and helping build systems that protect their right to live with dignity. #JeanDreze #RightToFood #MGNREGA [Jean Drèze economist, Jean Drèze contribution to India, poverty in India, hunger and malnutrition in India, Right to Food Campaign India, MGNREGA rural employment scheme]

Gyanesh will have to resign. This govt cannot control this. This is way, way bigger than what unfolded in July. This is a tsunami.

From Manipur to Delhi, cops have caste and ethnic affiliations.
Delhi Police does the bulk of it’s recruitment from the outlying areas of NCR. Cops from villages within this area have strong connections to their brethren who are involved in gangs, cow protection etc. These goons are easily called up by the cops when a pro govt mob is needed.

Can't join the protest today. I experienced the sanghi-emergency from the other side, as a worker, who can't afford to take a day off. The whole city is under siege. Traffucked or barricaded. The metro is bursting. It took me 1.5 hours to cross a distance that takes 30 mins.

Why? Because of a handful of Very Scared Criminals who have our law & order machinery in their chokehold. The ordinary person, the daily wage earner, the labour worker is absolutely helpless.

None of this blame belongs to the protesters. None. If anything, these protests will get us out of this mess. More power to everyone on the streets today, fighting for our existential and fundamental rights.
