Cheers to the night candles that never went off.
To the ray of hope that never gave up flame. To the tears that kept calling for more and the Grace to go after more.
Cheers,
To the persistence and grit.
To the illumination of purpose and humbling privilege to get the opportunity to touch lives and dream further.
To the assurance in the Grace of the maker today, tomorrow and forever.
Grateful. #BJA #TDMW

Lassine Sinayoko now has 9 goals and 5 assists in ten Ligue 1 games as Paris FC beat Auxerre 1-0 to go level with PSG at the top.
Sinayoko and France new boy Pablo Pagis among the players thriving under Liam Rosenior, who's done some really impressive work in quick time.

When I got laid off from Microsoft, I got into a company in Lagos that felt paying 600k naira a month was doing me a favour. I had to take the offer to keep body and soul together.
Was there for 6 months until I fell out with the MD and started looking out. That was when I started my training outfit but couldn't quite get traction.
Anyway, after leaving this NGO, I spent another 5 months in the wilderness, literally. Ate rejections almost every other day. Was living on the goodwill of friends and relations. Basically wondering what to get out of life.
An Antler rep came knocking at the time and was in the process of fast tracking my application to the Antler cohort at Kenya. Guess what? My passport had expired. Ran to go fast track my passport, after a few days emailed the partner but was told it was too late.
I remember laying in my room laughing hysterically, mulling to myself, "who I offend?"
Thankfully at that time, I applied to Andela and the process started for another 2 months. I got into Andela and my monthly salary was my previous annual salary. This trend continued in a subsequent company. Use am run one or two that year.
But the point is, while I was enjoying this new reality, I asked myself, "why did you worry all those times?" In hindsight, there was no reason to. I should have just chilled for 5 months, enjoyed myself.
But we are human and can only understand life in hindsight. As long as you believe this it will work out for you: EVERYTHING will turn out better than you expected, just stop worrying.

While other athletes have an unlimited supply of kits for both competition and leisure in Dakar, guess who packed a towel & a shirt for their athletes?
And you wonder why these youngsters have low self-esteem & are unable to socialise with their peers let alone compete with confidence.
Thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes of the Fuji podumentary on YouTube. A lot of history and rich perspectives and a big case for curating lived experiences. They usually become gold years down the line. Hooked!
Forged through the unknown.
Snippets from my icebreaker speech at the Table View Toastmasters last week. A therapeutic process for me connecting the dots and compressing close to 4 decades of lived experiences into 6 minutes, delivered for the 1st time ever to any audience.
Onward, to the next speech and advancement of my dynamic leadership pathway journey.

Underrated life skill: understanding opportunity costs. Every yes to one thing is a no to something else. Every new commitment takes time and attention away from your existing priorities. Before saying yes to something, consider what you're saying no to.
Ran my 10th half marathon of the year yesterday. What a difference a year can offer, with consistency and determination.
Never in a million years could see this coming and definitely not been easy. 1km at a time, brick by brick beginning last year. Running has been a compounding release and outlet towards my physical and mental health.
