I did a whole project on immigration in my political science class before. Not interested in Cuban politics and I am not Cuban. Cuban politics has been an obsession within the Republican Party in Florida and within the politics in Miami, FL. Cubans got to Miami, FL in the 1960’s and a lot of Cuban exiles processed through the Freedom Tower in Downtown Miami. This is how Miami, FL had a huge population of Cuban people. You also had the Wet Foot Dry Foot policy only for Cuban people that favored Cuban refugees to stay in the United States.
