IMHO, the PCA’s BCO is murky on public reading of Scripture (50.2, “or by some other person”). But if you give an FFO church an inch, they’ll take a mile. Case in point: Redeemer LSQ has had women reading Scripture every Sunday this month.
Replying to @OrthodoxPC
As a member of a confessional reformed Church, the problem is in fact masculinity.
Most clergy I meet are either 110lbs soaking wet and into board games, or 80lbs overweight and like to talk about how proud they are of their daughter who is a boss babe or sportsball.
I left the church for awhile as a young man due to effeminate churches. I used to question men who attended church on how they could attend a women’s club.
The seminaries and the selection process are broken. They churn out the exactly wrong type of man needed.

Owen and his fellow liberal ilk are the grave danger of today.
Cowardly, weak, impotent, effeminate, pharisaical and traitorous as he supports the nationalism of foreign nations and hypocritically opposing the nationalism of his fellow citizens.
He reviles the strong men who have the backbone of their fathers. The fathers who built a world in which he can safely pontificate in all his retardation.

For ambitious hard chargers, there's an important balance with present gratitude and future-looking vision. Often, I've noticed Highly Productive People (HPP) push themselves into a frenzied state of burnout.
They think they're being lazy or faithless if they take a day off, or leave some things unattended. Every millisecond must be jam packed with activity.
How do you strike that balance? Here's 7 helpful tips for practicing gratitude without giving up the drive to accomplish more.
1) Replace "What needs to happen?" with "What's good right now?"
You should often remind yourself, "Much of what I currently experience is something I prayed for ten years ago."
Instead of just focusing on what needs to change, spend time in prayer thanking God for what is presently a good thing. And then enjoy it—right here in the present.
2) Create space in your life for "no forward motion."
This can include recreation, leisure, and deep play that doesn't force you to think about future plans, but enjoy present moments.
Resist the temptation in these spaces to think about what you would change in the future. The main point is not to optimize or re-order, but to enjoy.
3) Put a speed limit on vision.
Create a "later" list. Be extremely slow to start anything new. Ask yourself, "If I pushed this project back six months, would anything break?" Chances often are that the answer is "No." So put it off.
4) Don't let the urgent replace the important.
Get better at saying "no" to things and people who treat every request as needing immediate response. Chances are it's not urgent or important.
Spend more of your work day "unreachable," in "do not disturb mode." Make people submit requests and be slow to think about them.
5) Be content with a natural pace on the way to a next waypoint.
Schedule your days around a natural pace of work. Set quarterly goals, and LIMIT what gets put on the list. Instead of fixating on ten waypoints from now, just focus on the next one. And then go there more naturally, not at burnout pace.
6) Stop and celebrate your victories.
Resist the temptation after completing a major task or project to immediately ask, "What's next?" Celebrate the win. Sit in it for a while. Enjoy it with a nice dinner with your family or friends.
7) Give today a definition of "enough."
"If I accomplish X, Y, and Z, I will have been faithful today."
Instead of asking, "What is everything I could possibly do this week?" ask yourself, "What can I do today, at a natural pace, to be faithful?"
When you get there, tell yourself, "I have done my duty. That is enough."

Mike Huckabee threatened me with the FBI.
Our latest Substack is my response. 👇
Absolutely **phenomenal** from @JoelWebbon. Bravo.
Huckabee thought he'd throw out a threat, a false accusation, and use his political power to intimidate and silence a U.S. Citizen.
Turns out, Webbon isn't someone you want to try to silence, because he took Huckabee's threat and false accusation and metaphorically beat him like a red-headed stepchild (or disloyal diplomat) with the truth.
Webbon writes...
"Ambassador, calling for the arrest and harassment by law enforcement of a law-abiding American taxpayer, in no uncertain terms, is a whole other level of treason - even greater than you've already committed.
I’ll have you know, America has a proud history of calling for the heads of public servants who betray We the People. Our nation was founded upon the precept. It is one of the prouder aspects of our glorious heritage. And on December 3, the Department of Defense will execute a man at Fort Hood for being a traitor.
You are no less a traitor.
And in the end, the dead from your treason will be far higher than the victims of his handgun. You have committed treason on a grand scale, on foreign soil, betraying your oath of office and the people who commissioned you to do the job that you have sat in Jerusalem, doing for a different nation altogether.
And people have died as a result - not just countless Christians thanks to illegal settler violence, who are carrying out the precepts of Talmudic Judaism that declare Gentile lives to be worth nothing - but Americans in Gaza, not “caught in the crosshairs” as though they are collateral damage, but shot on purpose through the head with a sniper’s bullet, another shot through the shoulder blades while wearing a press jacket, and another was dragged behind a car until they died.
And all of them, murdered while Israel knew there was an American ambassador in Jerusalem who would not defend his people, but instead, defend Jewish Palestine.
The Bible says in the watchman passage of Ezekiel that if it’s your job to warn of danger and no one listens, it’s on them. But if you don’t warn of danger, then that blood is on you.
“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”
What should be required at your hand, Ambassador? You were the watchman. You chose not to sound the alarm. And God has spoken.
You are washed in the blood, Mike. But not the blood of Christ - but the blood of Christians. It cried out from the ground, and you tried to quiet it...
But now, an American pastor has criticized your conduct, and you have applauded the call for his arrest due to his free speech.
It appears Israel has rubbed off on you.
Political prisoners aren’t allowed in the United States, Ambassador. You’re confusing your one true love, Israel, with the United States. Your affection for Jewish Palestine appears to have survived every inconvenience except an American Citizen insisting that you answer for your disloyalty.
You’re not angry about dead Americans. You’re not angry about dead Christians. You’re angry that YOU must be held to account.
But sir, this is America, and you have forgotten who we are. You were appointed to represent Americans abroad, including Americans who reject your politics and dispute your perverted theology. The office belongs to the nation, and you have sullied it with the stench of anti-Gentile hatred and treason. Frankly, we’ll be damned before we let you remake America into Israel’s image."

😴💤Sleep issues suck and they usually fall into one of three buckets with some overlap.
1. You struggle to fall asleep. It takes forever but once you’re asleep, you’re out solid.
2. You fall asleep fine but then toss and turn all night and feel like death in the morning.
3. You fall asleep fine. You stay asleep fine, then your eyes shoot open at like 3am and you can’t go back to sleep.
These are all different patterns that require a unique approach and I wrote a guide on it.
If you comment sleep I’ll send it over. Gotta be following me.

Charlie said he wanted to be remembered for courage for his faith.
Why is @MrsErikaKirk allowing one of Charlie’s enemies—who hates Christ, up on stage trying to convince people to become Jewish?
Replacing Charlie’s pro-Christ message with Ben’s anti- Christ message says it all.
Charlie was murdered because people were listening to what he was saying.
It’s disgusting that Erika is actually allowing this.

Recently, we realized one of our companies needed expert guidance in three key areas:
-Operations
-Financial planning
-Future growth
We’d taken the company as far as we could on our own, so we reached out to @Issachar_Group.
We’d seen what they had accomplished with other small and mid-sized businesses and knew they excelled at refining operations. We quickly discovered that their expertise extended well beyond that, covering all three areas in which we needed help.
They took a deep dive into our operations, identified areas for improvement, scrutinized our finances, and helped us develop a clear path forward. Most importantly, they provided a step-by-step roadmap for taking our company where we want it to go.
But perhaps the best part is the men themselves. They are Christian men who genuinely care about advancing Christ’s Kingdom and helping their brothers build successful businesses.
Working with them has been an absolute pleasure.

When you look at the landscape of our public “theologians” today, it is easy to find yourself asking:
“How is it possible that so few of these theologians can understand even the most basic arguments for Christian Nationalism?”
It is not because they are stupid. These men have spent decades parsing the finer details of thousands of biblical passages, studying theological tomes, and debating the intricacies of Supralapsarianism versus Infralapsarianism.
This is not a knowledge problem.
It comes down to two things:
-They do not merely disagree with the conclusions of Christian Nationalism. They regard it as antithetical to their religion. And in a sense, they are right. Their primary religion is not Christianity, but Liberalism. The Christianity they profess has been filtered through, reshaped by, and subordinated to the demands of their true faith: Liberalism.
-Many of them are liars. They know the arguments. They know the answers. They know that the objections they raise have been addressed time and again. Yet their religious devotion to Liberalism compels them to misrepresent, slander, and malign those who challenge it.
The problem is not that they lack the intellectual capacity to understand the arguments. It is that their religious commitments will not permit them to accept the clear teaching of scripture without first bathing it in an acceptable amount of Liberalism.

Brothers and sisters,
I know it is difficult at times, but if you can lift your eyes and hearts out of the day to day difficulties of so many littles and so many bills and so much mess and the need for another "hey babes I need to take another shift of overtime this weekend" and something else needs repaired and so and so is sick again...
and see what Lord willing is coming... truly exceptional.
No one else is doing what we are and what many of us have done - marriage by marriage, baby by baby, household by household obeying the Bible... we are the future of this country.
There are few families left in the West... but even less households.
We are those households.
Most of us fall into or will soon be top .2% households in our country.
The meek will inherit the earth, and truly it is us and our children.
Pray.
Ask the Lord for help and provision.
Find wise older folks.
Band together with others to share one another's burdens.
Don't growing weary in doing good, knowing in due season we will reap.
That season is a few decades off, but that season by God's grace is ours and our children's.

Well, it has been a fun couple of days.
The Reviling Wives are murderous.
The White Knights are preening.
The rest of us are having a good time.
Let's do a roundup.
The Differences:
I think this post exposed a clear difference in how Christian wives and Reviling Wives view their relationship to their husbands.
Reviling wives see themselves at odds with their husbands. Marriage is a balancing act. A little inconvenience or extra effort, and dozens of women are threatening to divorce, abandon, poison, or murder their husbands. Yet they desperately want you to take marital advice from them.
Christian wives see themselves as helpmeets to their husbands. Rather than carving out their own mission in life and competing for primacy, they join their husband's mission, unite with him in pursuing it, and do it with joy unto the Lord.
One sees marriage as oppressor/oppressed.
The other sees marriage as head/helpmeet.
One sees marriage as a fist fight.
The other sees it as a dance.
The fruit proves the difference.
Little Lives
One of the saddest parts of this conversation, besides the sheer number of cucked men and nasty women, is how small some people's lives seem to be.
I repeatedly saw people say:
-“This is impossible. Nobody could gather 30 people with little notice.”
-“I couldn't imagine feeding that many people.”
-“McDonald's couldn't even do that.”
Yes, McDonald's is apparently the new standard of hospitality.
Great-Grandma
I saw several comments saying:
“I couldn't do this. But my grandmother did this all the time!”
This is true in my family as well.
When you have a large family filled with uncles, aunts, cousins, siblings, children, nieces, and nephews, big gatherings become very normal.
If you have lost this, you have lost something wonderful.
You should work to get it back.
The Conspiracies
Honestly, this has been one of my favorite parts to watch unfold. We had guests over last night, and I read some of these comments to them. We were in tears laughing.
Here are some of my favorites:
“He isn't married!”
Dozens of people spread the conspiracy that I am not married and don't have children. That was funny enough.
But watching feminists who know who I am and hate me argue with these people—
“No... he's married. He's just an asshole!”
—was the cherry on top.
“He posted fake pictures of soup and fire cider and claimed his wife and daughter made them!”
This is probably the funniest one.
A couple of years ago, I posted recipe photos of things my wife and daughter had made, along with the recipes in the comments. These dorks assumed I was claiming to have taken stock photos and was trying to pass them off as my own.
“Guys, he is obviously rage-baiting you!”
No. I genuinely didn't know that saying nice things about my wonderful wife would enrage anyone.
“He withholds this information until one hour before they arrive so he can shit-test/abuse her.”
No. On the rare occasions when something of that magnitude pops up, I find out and tell my wife as soon as I know.
Usually, it's something like a pre-planned meeting at someone else's house that has to be moved at the last minute.
Honestly, she's more likely to spring a 30-person event on me at the last minute.A moved baby shower. An impromptu wedding shower. A birthday party. Etc.
Ruhtard Math
The number of people who couldn't think clearly was a little shocking, but mostly good for laughs.
I can't tell you how many comments I saw saying some version of:
“You can't cook 30 pizzas in an hour.”
A. You don't need 30 pizzas to feed 30 people.
B. Nobody said the food needed to be done in an hour.
C. You may have just debunked the mainstream narrative of WWII.
“You can't prep pizza dough in an hour!”
A. It doesn't need to be done in an hour.
B. Yes, you can.
C. Pizza is one example of what you can make.
My Favorite Comment
My favorite comment from this whole kerfuffle was a short line from one of my detractors. It brought a great deal of laughter to my home.
He simply said:
“You sound like a burden.”
Lol.
Capabilities
This post was about what my wife does and what she is capable of doing.
Your situation may be very different.
Maybe you can only fit two guests in your home. Maybe you only have enough room in your freezer to hold food for four people. Maybe your budget doesn't allow for these kinds of events.Maybe you can serve hot dogs or Domino's.
That's wonderful! Do what you can do at this point in your life.
The point is: do it with joy and thanksgiving.
It is a rich life.
You don't have to be a bitter shrew. You don't have to feel abused every time you have to do something that isn't 10/10 fun. You don't have to put yourself at odds with your husband.
You can just enjoy life.
Be a magnanimous family. Be big.
You have one life.
Don't spend it becoming a bitter, shriveled-up wine mom.
