A man recently lost his job & was struggling to find his feet again. He didn't inform his wife that he had been sacked, but continued to wake up by 6:00 every morning to prepare for work. However, he always went to his friend's house & stayed there until it was evening before heading back home. His friend was doing really well for himself & was still single, so he could afford to accommodate him. Soon, it was time to pay the school fees of his two kids & the man had to borrow money from his friend with a promise to payback. But when he was about to transfer the money to his wife, she refused to accept it claiming that the children's school fees had been increased. This led to a heated argument, but the wife insisted that the money was not enough & as such would not accept it. Even when the man offered to pay half with a promise to balance it later, she still refused. A little frustrated, the man went back to his friend to borrow more money. The friend agreed to give him more money, but suggested that the man ought to visit the children's school & pay for the fees by himself. Taking the friend's advice, they drove down to the school without informing the wife, and went straight to the bursary department. To his utmost shock, the man found out that not only was the school fees the same as what he had paid the last term, but his wife had inflated it by nearly 150%. The man paid the school fees, got the receipt & went back home to confront his wife. Her response was non chalant: “What's the big deal if I add some money to it? Are you not a man? Can't you pay for it?” It took the grace of God & the man's friend to stop him from pounding her that day.
