🚨🇫🇷 BREAKING: Ousmane Dembélé and those close to him have taken Kylian Mbappé’s recent comments VERY badly.
Dembélé’s camp is reportedly EXTREMELY unhappy with the France captain, with some even viewing his comments as a BETRAYAL.
Several France players also reportedly do NOT understand Mbappé’s recent public remarks, with claims that TWO separate camps are now forming within the national team. 😳

You're missing the core drama of the story: Tristan is softly accusing OpenAI of having stolen their result from Codex chat logs.
Tristan then claims OpenAI tried to threaten him to not publicly disclose this, and that they'd give him the Clay Prize ($1M) as the "closest humans to the problem" if he'd agree to disavow his co-author, @__alpoge__ , who is at Anthropic.
This is HBO-level drama, but with math proofs.
>math professor spends a year on one of the hardest unsolved problems in math
>"Navier-Stokes"
>his drafts for the whole project went through codex sessions
>openai had his logs in codex
>suddenly rumor leaks AI solved it
>he emails openai to ask what's going on
>openai calls within days
>"funny story, our model also solved it"
>using his exact approach
>asks openai: did you train on my sessions?
>no answer

Sooner or later, I think people are going to have to come to terms with the fact that “stochastic parrot” is actually a correct way to describe an LLM
Yes, it turns out that stochastic parrots can do a tremendous amount, and the technology is revolutionary, but it is still tokens and tokens out at the end of the day
There is no lived experience inside that matrix multiplication machine, no persistent state, no emotions, no sense of identity, ownership, or belonging
It is just an empty autocomplete machine
Extremely useful to humans, much better than humans at a lot of things, but an empty tool with no agency, no will, and no emotions
I think fighting to maintain that perspective, and to see through what is essentially a puppet show, is going to be an important part of navigating the next few years

It's called Kars4Kids, T. There's really no way I can tell you any more about it without sounding antisemtic.

If we’re going to win the 2026 midterms, we must abandon centrism all together. If the Democratic Party is to survive we must go left
