lol. I maintain that our approach to the transfer window after winning the league was one of the most flagrant self sabotage missions I’ve ever seen. I still think Arteta has glaring flaws as a coach. The summer was supposed to be used to mitigate that. Alas.

7 straight years of increasing NLW Which i consider to be the nastiest stealth tax of them all Because they raise the rate but freeze the allowance, pushing more lower income earners into paying tax so HMRC collects the difference And it doesn't end there, businesses dont simply absorb this, prices go up so HMRC collects more money in VAT receipts too If they really wanted to help people, raise the tax free threshold to £20k so its in line with this after all these years

Time to post my biannual “how artificially compressed are British wages”. Rising minimum wage and a 50k+ p/a tax bracket that runs to 40% of earnings, and hasn’t adjusted for inflation. This form of artificial wage compression has turned everyone in Britain into low productivity tax cattle - you have zero incentive to become anything other here.
