We are delighted to share that our second GO PURPLE was a fantastic success. This year's support exceeded our expectations, and we had over 105 education centres and businesses get involved to raise awareness and vital funds for Ardgowan Hospice 💜

"if hes autistic why'd he even go on the show" as a fellow neurodivergent person let me explain this: we cant predict how we're gonna act in a stressful situation and we do deserve to TRY things instead of locking ourselves at home assuming we're 100% not going to take this

Imagine deciding in your mid 60’s that you’re being edgy by just parroting right wing tropes? 🤣 you’re about as edgy as Ricky Gervais

This documentary was sadly unbalanced and deeply simplistic, drawing its conclusions that ADHD is a ‘social construct’ on the experiences of only one child.
The experts all supported the conclusion; there were no differing opinions, and no-one else with a different subtype of ADHD featured. Crucially, not only did it focus on only one child, but didn’t interview any adults with ADHD. It also neglected to cover the co-morbidities that are very common with ADHD, in particular #Autism and #OCD.
The focus on medication only featured one: Lisdexamfetamine (Elvanse) but didn’t cover the many other non-stimulant meds that children can be prescribed.
There was nothing about the history and diagnosis of ADHD prior to the introduction of tablets and smartphones, making its conclusion that children need to simply come off their meds and screens overly simplistic and biased. Very poor @Channel4 #TheGreatADHDMyth
A unique and thought-provoking documentary that challenges conventional thinking about ADHD #TheGreatADHDMyth? Comes to @Channel4 tonight at 8pm

Channel 4 has aired "The Great ADHD Myth?". Together, we're responding. Please consider filling in our survey and complaining to Ofcom.
Tell us the impact: our survey is collecting the evidence of what this programme has actually done - to how people see ADHD, and to people with it. A few minutes, anonymous, and it builds the record we'll take to Ofcom and Parliament.
Complain to the regulator: our page has a ready-made Ofcom complaint: customisable, copy, paste.

The scenes coming out of Stourbridge are horrific. Homes engulfed in flames, families displaced, and firefighters risking their lives on the hottest day of the year.
This is not a distant threat. This is climate breakdown happening right here, right now, and it is already impacting communities across the UK.
And the Prime Minister’s response? Talking about banning disposable BBQs instead of taking on the fossil fuel giants driving the crisis, while entertaining more North Sea oil and gas.
The climate emergency is here.
Act like it and DO SOMETHING NOW!
BREAKING: Multiple homes are on fire in Stourbridge in the West Midlands.
Around 60 firefighters are tackling the grass fire near a golf course.
