I had forgotten how tedious moving is but instead of complaining today, I gave thanks to God and my forefathers for this blessing and milestone. The kids have somewhere they call home. ♥️

Having kids forces you into good habits simply because you have to model what you want your kids to do. You want your kids to not swear so you stop swearing. You want your kids listening to beautiful music so you listen to beautiful music. You want your children eating healthy food so you make them healthy food and that’s what you end up eating. You want them getting lots of fresh air and exercise outdoors and boom you’re right there outside with them. You want them brushing their teeth twice a day and flossing and suddenly you’re doing it like clockwork too. It’s amazing how looking after someone you love can make you look after yourself better.

I had to wake up to put on a nursing bra and breast pads because my boobies decided they're gonna leak tonight. Imagine being woken up by a soaked nightie and bed sheets.

The dishes are in the sink because people ate.
The shoes are by the door because people came home.
The toys are scattered everywhere because people were happy.
Some of the mess is proof of a good life.
Stay grateful.

Hill I will die on as a mom: sleep is not enough for me to feel rested. I need a few hours where I can sit down, do absolutely nothing, and nobody needs me, asks me for anything or touches me.
THAT is rest.

Money buys a lot of extremely underrated things. Convenience. Time. Options. Privacy. Distance from nonsense.
Hardly slept last night. Tonsil flare up. The kids waking up at random times throughout.
Being a parent is an extreme sport. I find myself giggling in quiet moments because whether I'm sick or not, I have to always show up. Always!

I get that we need healthy relationships with our peers but since becoming a mother, my priorities have shifted so much. It's especially harder maintaining friendships where the other party doesn't have a kid/s yet. Go boima.
I miss my dad soooooo much. I find myself wondering what life would be like if he was still alive.
Same applies for my grandparents.
