There is zero evidence Cho repaid anything and the governtment knew in 2023 about issues with career colleges and OSAP... in what world is a three year delay 'acting quickly'?!
Premier Ford faced tough questions on the alleged misuse of public money on the first day of the fall sitting. Ford defended Stan Cho’s $22,500 pay bump.: "I fired him from being a minister. He admitted he made a mistake. He's paid it back, and now he's going to be a parliamentary assistant." He also insisted his government was quick to act to stop "fraudsters" from exploiting the OSAP system Day 1 RECAP:

Wtf. I agree with this loser.
Why do we see this term “super majority” used here? It’s a majority government. “Super majority” is an American term and it makes no sense here.

Uh. Why would Iran be targeting GFL? Loool "In several incidents, synagogues and Jewish-owned businesses were hit shortly before, or after, attacks on nearby business and residential addresses associated with waste management giant, Green For Life (GFL)."
pretty amazing that, in the middle of standing up to and humiliating the world's greatest military empire, Iran took the time to pay a bunch of Canadian teenagers to shoot at some empty buildings, for some reason cbc.ca/news/investigates/ira…

This seemed like 2 articles that someone decided to stitch together. Its the one article about the gun for hire plot ... and a second one about the shooting at the US consulate.

The only connection is that they are both gun for hire plots.

this whole "first conservative government in decades" thing is getting pretty annoying. here's our last conservative premier christy clark, who was in power until 2017, explaining why electing right-wing governments is not new in BC:
Canadian province of British Columbia just elected a Conservative government for first time in decades. Here's part of the story why, me in the @theAtlantic from 2025 theatlantic.com/internationa…

Israeli "democracy": - 500,000 West Bank settlers can vote, but not the 3M Palestinians under occupation - 230,000 Israelis in occupied East Jerusalem can vote, but not the 350,000 Palestinians under their rule - The fewer than 2M Palestinians left in occupied Gaza cannot vote

Many races of note tonight, but one I haven’t seen commented on yet is the major upset in the TDSB trustee race in Ward 4. Incumbent Weidong Pei, who was one of the few trustees supportive of provincial supervision of the board, has lost. #tdsb

One was consistent, yet we still sent him back to parliament, so why would he change now, when obviousltly his constituents plus Liberal voters don't care about values.
Seven Liberal MPs supported a man who stands for not a single Liberal value. We hope to hear from them what is Liberal about privatizing municipal water and ripping up bike lanes.

Lol. Did only spend time on twitter and on his AI bot, but spent nothing on getting people out.
NEW - With most of the polls closed, sources close to the Brad Bradford Campaign tell 680 NewsRadio that his path to victory tonight is “An uphill battle”

then property taxes only went up 14% in the last three budgets under Chow and Bradford has been lying this whole time
Replying to @mahdishabibinia
Well, the City Building Fund Levy and property taxes are not the same thing. The City Building Fund Levy and your standard Municipal Tax Rate are separate financial mechanisms designed for entirely different purposes.

Yep. I can't believe that the only politician criticized for using slogans is Poilievre while Ford & Carney put millions of our dollars into shoving meaningless garbage like "Protect Ontario" or "Canada Strong" down our throats. xitter.cf/TylerStack/status/2112…
Both of these miserable fucks love spending our money on ads telling us how great they are, but why wouldn't they, Canadians swallow it all and beg for more.

Its all been neoliberal (re: corporate capture) since the 1980s regardless of party labels. Ironically, the tories were centre left in the 1970s and 1980s (at least in Ontario - not sure if that translated to BC).
Replying to @HelloStephano
I think we have mostly had right wing governments. Socreds originated in Alberta. I remember them with disdain. Gordon Campbell , pretending to be a Lib, was a form of that ideology. All business.

That is part of the problem since the results for most people are the same regardless if your government is PC, Conservative, Liberal, NDP, UCP whatever (again at least since the 1980s/1990s depending on region).
