BREAKING: In a major blow to Donald Trump, a federal judge has dismissed his $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch over its reporting on his Jeffrey Epstein birthday letter.
The judge ruled that Trump failed to establish “actual malice” and dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning he cannot refile it.
The judge said Trump’s lawyers were “grasping at straws.”

A month ago, when everyone's focus was high prices and the Iran war, I suggested that THE issue that will ACTUALLY take Trump down, is corruption. I said this because he was so brazen, didn't care how it looked, and I didn't think he could or would stop. He hasn't.
Two weeks ago, I saw a graphic on MS Now that ranked corruption as THE top issue on voters' minds.
And a week ago, the folks at Gallup said that 89% of Americans say Trump's corruption is widespread -- 91% of Democrats, 90% of independents, and even 83% of Republicans! Highest US corruption measurement in Gallup history.
And now - America is #1 in perceived government corruption among democracies - GLOBALLY. The ONLY countries scoring higher, per Gallup, since 2023 are Lebanon, Peru, Ghana and Nigeria.
THAT is the company shithole Trump has put America in with. Not Canada. Not Norway. Not the UK.
Ghana and Nigeria.
America First - my ass.
F*ck you, Fox. F*ck you, MAGA.

Weird. I was just thinking that all those billions sitting in billionaires’ bank accounts could be put to much better use in our communities.

"On Friday, Judge Ana Reyes learned that the Justice Department had been working on plans it told her didn’t exist. By the end of the hearing, she’d opened an investigation into whether its lawyers lied to her court or broke ethics rules.
For weeks, the administration insisted there was no imminent plan to close East Potomac Park, even as Trump posted that the course would close November 15. This week, the Justice Department admitted in a filing that the park will close November 15, “consistent with the President’s directive.”
The department also acknowledged that officials had spent weeks on final golf course plans for the National Planning Commission without ever mentioning them to the court, including during a seven-hour hearing earlier this month.
“I don’t recall the court asking a question as to whether we were wanting to come up with a plan,” said Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward, the third-highest-ranking official at the Justice Department.
“Are you kidding me right now?” Reyes shot back. “Am I to understand that for weeks someone has been putting pen to paper on a submission to design the golf course while this litigation was ongoing, while Department of Justice employees were representing to me that there was no plan?”
She couldn’t get the department to say what the president’s own words meant, either. “The third highest ranking official at the Department of Justice is telling me, telling a federal court, that he cannot say that when the president posted the ‘course will close on November 15,’ what he meant was, ‘the course will close on November 15’?” Woodward said he “cannot opine as to the president’s meaning.”
Reyes found that officials “intentionally” timed the removal of hundreds of healthy trees to get ahead of judicial review. She’d already written that they “raced” to tear them down because the president “demands haste on his redesign.”
This is more than a bad news cycle for Trump. An investigation into whether his lawyers misled a federal court puts individual attorneys at risk, and every claim the department makes in her courtroom from now on will be met with doubt. Woodward has already tried to get Reyes thrown off the case over her “histrionics,” and she answered him with the court record. Trump called her “a crazed lunatic.” Now his lawyers are the ones under examination."

How the hell did this Administration allow a 28-year-old DOGE operative with zero government experience to take over USAID, fire thousands of federal employees, and shut down lifesaving aid programs around the world?
Not to mention that HR had zero record of him working there, he never completed his background paperwork to legally start working for the agency, and he didn’t even have an ID badge, because, officially, he didn’t exist as an employee.
And yet, all on his own, this man was given the go ahead to lock staff out of their own systems and use your taxpayer dollars to gut lifesaving programs with zero transparency.
The Trump Administration owes the American people and Congress answers. Who signed off on this? Why on earth was he given this kind of power?
This wasn’t an accident. Someone handed this man unchecked power, someone knew he wasn’t legally authorized to use it, and someone decided that there was nothing wrong with that.
Well, everything is wrong with that. Congress needs answers about this, and that is NOT optional.

HE BUILT HIS MAILBOX LIKE A HOUSE FOUNDATION!!
Smart move, or a lawsuit waiting to happen?
He says his mailbox has been hit over and over, so this version is six by six posts sunk about four feet into two and a half yards of concrete, roughly 4,000 pounds by his count. He says he chased the last driver who hit it all the way home and their insurance paid. The clip opens and closes on a truck lying on its side next to it at night.
Part of me loves this. If you keep taking out a man's mailbox, eventually he stops building mailboxes and starts building bunkers. And nobody hits a mailbox sitting on its own post at the edge of the yard by accident eight times unless they're flying down that road.
The other part of me knows how this goes. Somebody's teenager swerves for a deer, and now a concrete block is the reason they're in the hospital. Plenty of towns have rules about what you can put that close to the road for exactly that reason.
I'd probably split the difference. Build it tough, put reflectors on it, and call the county about speed on that road. Then go get the mail like a normal person.
Either way, slow down on his street.
