Pre-COVID, 5 minutes after meeting start: "let's give it a few more minutes" Now, 30 seconds after meeting start: "ok let's get started"

Any Hollywood makeup artists looking to start a side gig this year? I imagine many people would pay to look 65+ to qualify for a vaccine.

There could be a whole new market for fake ID producers too! Birth year 1956
I'm young, healthy, and work from home. Will be last to get a vaccine. The slow vaccine rollout is frustrating and I'd love to not sit at home this year. Things I'm willing to do for earlier vaccine access 👇👇👇

In addition to vaccinators, there will be many other jobs to fill at mass-vaccination sites. Many people would be willing to volunteer their time in exchange for vaccine access. Seems like a great incentive to help these programs scale and move fast. cc: @GavinNewsom

Relocating. Some states will be faster than others. If there is a big gap vs. CA availability, I’m open to relocating to a different state. Other state will get at least 12 months of income and sales tax revenue from me.

Today is one of the biggest milestone days in health care history. Price transparency will reign in crazy high bills and will lower health care costs for American families and businesses. That's why 88% of Americans support it. Bravo @HHSGov @SecAzar @SeemaCMS @PBGH_updates

.@Affirm was founded on the idea that people come first. We stand with the Black community. Join me in condemning racism in all forms & declaring solidarity with those affected by hatred daily. I call on this country’s leaders to help address these injustices in our society.

Welcome to May. As I feared, the federal government wasted April much as it wasted February. That is a harsh assessment given how much the country has been suffering. But without competent federal leadership, the best we are managing is to tread water. Some stats:

Hi @LibbySchaaf @JesseArreguin Grizzly Peak Blvd was very unsafe tonight for peds & bikes. Too many cars out to joyride. High speed passing on dangerous blind corners! One police, but way outnumbered. Please consider closing part of this road during SIP. It’s our best greenspace.

Realized that @SlackHQ and @gmail have opposite keyboard shortcuts. Explains why I keep making the same mistake: Slack: enter = send; shift + enter = new line Gmail: enter = new line; shift + enter = send
Seeing a big uptick in SMS spam in the last week. Notice a pattern? Would love to do regex blocking.

I wonder if in ten years we will build a national monument in DC to honor the heroics of all our healthcare workers.

WHO said it’s not a pandemic and you shouldn’t wear masks. CDC made its own tests and bungled them. FDA blocked state tests for weeks and mask production for months. Sporadic regional lockdowns and no internal borders mean this fire is going to burn until it’s out of fuel.

Unlockdown By combining different kinds of tests (forehead thermometer, CT, PCR) we can determine the virus’ prevalence in a given area. Use this to designate red and green zones. A green zone has no new cases in the last four weeks. Let people in green zones out of lockdown.
Harder than deciding to when enter quarantine will be when to end the quarantine; what are the objective exit criteria? @balajis - I'm sure you've thought of this; suggestions on best objective criteria now?

To reiterate, lockdown without scaled testing will not achieve desired ends. 1) Virus is invisible 2) Testing makes it visible 3) Use gradation of tests: thermometer, CT, PCR 4) Identify red & green zones, with high & low virus % 5) Let people in green zones out of lockdown
