First it went slowly. For decades Vera Molnar worked with her machine imaginaire, then with actual computers and plotters, quietly building one of the foundational practices of algorithmic art while major institutions mostly looked the other way. Then itโs happening all at once. As @michaelspalter noted: the canon has shifted. Algorithmic code now stands beside paint and stone.
