As someone who drives an average of 3 hours every day, here are a few checks I carry out on my car every other day before getting on the road.
- First, I check underneath the car to be sure there are no coolant, oil, or other fluid leaks.
- Then I eye check my tyres to see if they’re properly gauged or if there’s any flat one.
- Before starting the engine, I open my bonnet and check if my coolant level is right.
- Then I check my dipstick to see if my engine oil level is right.
- After starting the engine, I check if both radiator fans are working.
- And finally, I check if there’s any unusual dashboard light on before getting on the road.
I no dey do again 😭

but tbh, it’s a bit profitable (emphasis on ‘bit’) but I don’t see it working out well in this Lagos, not with these roads and drivers
