How about a Giga Texas Optimus Robot factory construction progress update: This is Tesla’s purpose-built high-volume Optimus plant on the North Campus, designed for a long-term capacity of ~10 million robots/year (Gen 4). It follows the pilot/high-volume line at Fremont (sized for ~1M/year, now in early production of Gen 3 after the Model S/X space was cleared). Volume production here is targeted for late 2027/early 2028. The facility is a major multi-million sq ft structure (~3,500 ft long) and part of the broader North Campus expansion. Today: More steel going up on the main structure, now nearing 60% assembled. Larger roof sections have concrete slurry, insulation & weatherproof membranes installed. On the E side, more cross-beam & column perimeter sections are going in, with roof truss beams connecting them to the main structure. Rapid progress on the building shell! 🚀
