"The revival of spiritual knowledge will enable man to accomplish what he needs, a link between later phases of evolution and its pure, instinctive origin. Then he will know what is needed for the healing of humanity - harmony between science, art, religion, and morality." -R.S.
The Karma of the Internet (2026)
I think the internet is a great place to connect with people and do countless things. But I want to explore its dark side through an esoteric lens. These are my thoughts I meditated on.
The internet and digital reality allow the exploitation of people’s lower desires and farm their unconscious minds through energy vampirism (spider-like symbolism).
People don’t realise they are stuck in a trap of their own making. Just as spider webs are invisible unless the eye catches them from the right angle, so too does man find himself unable to see this until it’s too late. Seeing it requires a form of perception: man can only see what he already knows.
The wise Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said it best: “We only see what we know.”
A form of knowledge is needed to start; perception alone isn’t enough. It requires thinking, which brings us to cognising these facts.
To this extent, we begin to fall further into sin, and we are witnessing a great fall in the collective moral level. Watch how people laugh at the most horrible things done to humanity, and how trolls love to use chaos to harm others and “ragebait” people, which the DMT Jester entities love to do, as we see in the Dark Trickster entities throughout spiritual history.
Rudolf Steiner was so correct when he warned that humanity’s “shadowy thoughts” would one day creep over the Earth like a spider’s web: a brood of half-mineral, spider-like creatures, interconnected in a network with “an overwhelming power of intellect.”
“And from the Earth there will spring forth a terrible brood of beings, a brood of automata of an order of existence lying between the mineral and the plant kingdoms and possessed of an overwhelming power of intellect. This swarm will seize upon the Earth, will spread over the Earth like a network of ghastly, spider-like creatures… These spidery creatures will be all interlocked with one another, and in their outward movements they will imitate the thoughts that men have spun out of the shadowy intellect… All the thoughts that lack substance and reality will then be endowed with being.”
- Rudolf Steiner, GA 204 (Dornach, May 13, 1921)
In today’s world (2026), the Internet is that connective web, running through electricity, wires and power, and reaching further into transhumanism, where the web begins to entrap us. AI, which some fear will become a superintelligence (theory of Singularity), a digital god, or even the Antichrist, works through the same things: powered by electricity, the decaying light of sub-nature, bound to sub-earthly forces of darkness.
Perhaps that is the secret of the “World Wide Web.”
Goethe was raised in wealth and still became someone extraordinary. I would argue he was one of the most impressive men in history.
You can raise children with wealth. They’ll learn humility and life’s lessons through you being a good parent.
“They have to make it on their own.”
All that shows is that you’re afraid to take on the responsibility yourself, or that you don’t trust your own wisdom enough to raise a real prodigy.
The biggest lie ever told is that wealth makes children spoiled and ungrateful. Give them royal treatment, and raise them to become philosopher kings.

“Conscious faith is freedom. Emotional faith is slavery. Mechanical faith is foolishness.”

Most people believe out of habit, fear, or their culture. That is not faith. True faith only begins when you break out of the hypnotic spell of sleep.
Serial Experiments Lain is the most prophetic depiction of the future ever made in anime. Other cyberpunk-esque series come close, but Lain goes deep on what’s happening in the modern world right now, along with even deeper topics:
>Online identities
>Ai Psychosis
>Trolls
>The internet fusing with reality
>Losing yourself through escapism.
>Transhumanism (which, unlike most series, it resolves by accepting the human body)
>Psychedelics & psychological programming (Cyberia)
>Akashic Records (Theosophy)
>Conspiracy theories (rumours & perception)
>Personas & the Doppelgänger (Freud’s “The Uncanny”)
>Cyber-cults
What’s interesting about Japan’s experimental (avant-garde) anime from the 90s isn’t just how beautiful it is. It’s scary how accurate it ended up being about our future, and how well it explores psychological truths.

Rudolf Steiner's Blossoming and Withering exercise for developing supersensible perception
Steiner taught that this exercise cultivates a kind of higher sensory tools and organs in the soul and spiritual body. Through it, the soul world, the so-called "Astral plane," begins to dawn for the student, and growth and decay stop being vague impressions.
The exercise:
1. Observe a living, growing plant.
Take in its form and details with the greatest possible precision. Do not rush into interpretation or emotion. Simply see it fully.
2. Become still.
Only after you have observed it completely, surrender yourself to whatever sensations and feelings arise from the plant itself.
3. Switch to a withering or decaying object.
Repeat the same process: observe precisely first, then become still and let the feelings come.
What you are looking for:
Steiner distinguished the inner experience of the two. A sunrise-like feeling accompanies growth. A moonrise-like feeling accompanies withering.
The essential principle:
Do not manufacture a feeling. Do not decide beforehand what something should evoke. The feeling must arise from your soul's own encounter with the particular object.
The test:
If you experience the same feeling regardless of what you observe, you may be imposing your own mood rather than perceiving what is actually before you.
This exercise requires repetition. Steiner emphasized that these perceptions become increasingly vivid through continued practice, alternating your attention between growth and decay. Patience is paramount.
Emanuel Swedenborg on the Ruling Love, the three universal loves, and why a person is their love.
In his explorations of the spiritual world, Swedenborg came across something fascinating: the “ruling love.” Basically, it means that everyone has one thing they love above everything else, and every other love sits beneath it. All the delight you feel in life comes from it, and your thoughts, desires and choices flow from it, usually without you even noticing.
It isn’t limited to people. It can be a love of a talent, a passion, knowledge, wealth, power, beauty, anything.
A simple way to find yours: notice what genuinely brings you the most delight. For Swedenborg, what we truly love is what we feel as “delightful.” What’s “pulling” at you? What do you love doing above all else?
Swedenborg also describes three universal loves that exist in all of us in his book True Christianity:
Love of Heaven (love of God and neighbour)
Love of the World (chiefly wealth)
Love of Self (chiefly honour and power)
Some people may worry when they see these loves and immediately assume some of them are evil, but it’s all about hierarchy and order. When love of heaven is the head, love of the world is the body and love of self is the feet, all three serve a good purpose. Flip that order so self is on top, and the whole person ends up upside down.
An example: take two musicians with the same talent. One plays for selfish reasons, for his own glory. The other plays selflessly, for the good it brings people, what Swedenborg calls “a love of uses.” Same gift, completely opposite ruling loves.
For Swedenborg, you are your love. After death, your ruling love stays with you and never changes, and it decides where you go, not beliefs you never lived by or how you appeared to others. Each soul goes where its love feels at home.
That’s why regeneration (awakening) matters so much.
Your ruling love can only be changed in this life, so the real work is reordering what we love while we’re still able to use our free-will.
But for Swedenborg, we can’t change our ruling love alone. All good ultimately comes from God, yet we must still put in the effort, acting “as if of himself,” as though it were entirely up to us, while recognising that the strength to do it comes from God.
These concepts can be found in Swedenborg’s works Heaven and Hell and True Christianity.
Your love is who you are, and who you are is where you’ll be. And you’re always becoming something.
Swedenborg even says angels can know a person’s entire life from just a few of their thoughts, because those thoughts reveal their ruling love, which contains everything about them. For Swedenborg, this is what the “book of life” really is.
Rudolf Steiner on the three faculties of the Human Being: Thinking, Feeling and Willing, and their correspondence to the three states of consciousness.
Steiner teaches that the human being operates through three fundamental faculties, each corresponding to a different state of consciousness.
Thinking: Awake (Head)
Thinking is the faculty in which we are most consciously aware. We can direct our attention, examine ideas, form concepts and deliberately recall memories. By bringing Will into Thinking, we can consciously strengthen this faculty through concentration, repetition and effort.
The typical expression associated with this faculty is: “I think that...”
Feeling: Dreaming (Heart)
Our feeling life operates more like a dream. We experience emotions, sympathy and antipathy, but are not always fully conscious of how they arise or influence us. For example, when listening to someone speak, we may experience what they say emotionally without properly engaging with or retaining the information.
The typical expression associated with this faculty is: “I feel that...”
Willing: Sleeping (Metabolic System)
Our Will, which is connected to our limbs and metabolic system, operates largely unconsciously. We are aware of what we intend to do, but not always of the processes behind our actions. Consider the instinctive reaction of closing your eyes when someone suddenly moves their finger towards them, or how our digestive system operates without conscious direction. These are examples of how deeply unconscious our Will is within the body.
The typical expressions associated with this faculty are: “I will...” or “I intend to...”
These are the different degrees of consciousness operating within us, even while we are awake.
Steiner also connects these three faculties with the activity of the spiritual hierarchies:
Thinking (Angels)
Feeling (Archangels)
Willing (Archai)
Something many may not know is that there is another interesting way to approach Steiner’s cosmology through these three faculties, particularly when studying three of his works. Within Anthroposophical study, these three works can be understood through the following faculties:
Thinking: “An Outline of Esoteric Science” (1909)
Developing a mental conception and understanding of spiritual cosmology. This makes sense, as the work is very precise and complex.
Feeling: “Theosophy” (1904)
Developing an understanding of the soul’s inner life, and how we relate to the spiritual world through our feelings, emotions and inner experiences. It focuses on the soul’s subjective experience rather than a mental construct of cosmology built through thinking.
Willing: “Life Between Death and Rebirth” (1913)
Exploring how our earthly actions and experiences continue to work beyond death, how karma unfolds through the spiritual and planetary worlds, and how the soul prepares for its next incarnation.
We can also understand this teaching simply: Thinking builds the scaffolding, Feeling gives it meaning, and Willing brings it into action.
Consider an artist:
Thinking conceives the idea.
Feeling develops the desire to bring it to life.
Willing carries it into action through the act of drawing.
The Philosopher King doesn’t exist in this current age. Man’s attention is scattered across a thousand little “I”s, none of which can truly rule.

Rudolf Steiner on Courage and Fearlessness on the Path of Initiation
What he teaches specifically in his book Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and Its Attainment:
Courage and fearlessness are qualities a candidate must bring to the path of initiation. The student should deliberately seek out situations that develop these qualities, systematically, as part of esoteric schooling.
He adds that ordinary life is itself an excellent school for this, perhaps the best.
The inner mindset he teaches:
When facing danger, the student must be able to look at it calmly and get through difficulties without wavering.
At the moment of danger, he is to summon the thought that his fear serves no purpose, that he shouldn’t have it at all, and that he should think only about what needs to be done.
The goal is that, in situations that once caused fear, becoming afraid or losing heart becomes impossible, at least in his deepest feelings.
Why this matters:
He says this self-education develops specific forces needed for initiation, comparing it to how the body needs nerve force to use the senses: the soul needs the force that only courageous, fearless natures develop.
So, in his framework, it is not a moral decoration. It builds a capacity upon which higher schooling depends.
One thing worth noticing:
The exercise isn’t to suppress fear or feel nothing. It redirects attention from fear to the next right action, which is why it pairs so well with equanimity.
Real courage means feeling the fear, experiencing the adrenaline, and composing oneself.
This also ties into the encounter with “The Two Guardians at the Threshold.”
The chapter on the Guardian of the Threshold says there are two Guardians, a lesser and a greater, and carries a warning not to cross the Threshold until you feel entirely free from fear and ready for the highest responsibility.
Know that I am paraphrasing. Read the book yourself for more practical results.
Rudolf Steiner on the threefold nature of life after death, and the consequences of our actions.
The number 3 holds particular significance in esoteric teachings. However, when examined in relation to the astral body, we see how these forces operate.
Sympathy and Antipathy represent two fundamental forces of astral consciousness: Attraction and Repulsion. Equanimity, meanwhile, represents the ability to observe these forces without being governed by them.
To put it simply, not identifying with one's likes or dislikes, but instead learning to observe them without attachment.
Even after death, this threefold principle continues. Dr. Steiner describes the etheric life review as lasting approximately three days, followed by Kamaloca, associated with the lunar-sphere and sometimes compared to Purgatory. Here, one's life is reviewed backwards, from the moment of death to birth in 3x speed.
This process is traditionally said to last one-third (1/3) of one's earthly lifespan. (Akin to the time in earthly life you spend asleep)
This is somewhat similar to the life-review commonly reported in near-death experiences, where individuals describe their entire lives flashing before their eyes.
During this review, one experiences the consequences of one's actions through the perspective of those one affected. This includes the positive and negative things you did, through other's pov.
You reap what you sow.
The Golden Rule - "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." (Matt. 7:12)
One eventually comes to experience what one has done unto others.
The Japanese have preserved traditions that keep a care for art in their culture.
There is an art to fishing, an art to fighting, an art to drinking tea. Even the most ordinary actions can become an art form.
This appreciation for passion and creation is reflected in Japanese culture. Showing insane innovation for different mediums of art.
The eastern mind represents a force of light, consciousness and a tendency towards inwardness, while the western mind represents a force of matter, form and outward creation.

This is how I explain Catholic Purgatory:
When contemplating Kamaloka, or post-death purification, there are many eye-opening facts, of which you would likely not be aware at first sight.
It is not right to think of the process as something in which you are merely put in front of what you already seem to know.
If one were to look at the thing correctly, it should become apparent that in this process, when the I faces its desires, which are derived from the sensible world and not the spiritual world, the I does not only encounter what it already knows.
No, the I begins to penetrate a dark cloud of desires, which like a disease spreads itself before Devachan, the I not knowing the extent of the damage that it has inflicted upon itself, the world and its souls.
So it is like with a disease that a man has not experienced before.
He may have heard men speak of it, he possibly even tried imagining it, but he has not experienced it.
It is then, in Kamaloka, that man pierces the veil and, as through a healing fever, experiences catharsis macrocosmically.
In the sensible world man has experienced a miniature version of this catharsis on one or the other occasion.
It is when we are plagued by disease, regular sickness, that we begin to contemplate what and how much we had before, or indeed how easily we could have prevented this sickness that is so troubling to us now.
By force we are removed from regular life, and it is here that we discover within ourselves a real desire: to have lived life well.
So it is in Kamaloka.
We are removed from the life we thought we knew, and begin to experience the truth from which we thought we could hide.
It contains an experience which is comparable to the state in which we find ourselves when we learn a truth in regular life of which we did not have the slightest hunch.
There are things we come to know, so foreseeable that only a fool would not have considered them.
The woman whom you abandoned out of good, or maybe only apparently good, reasoning might have had the most genuine love for you, more than any other you ever had after.
And there are secrets that come to light, so absurd that we did not consider them.
Your greatest enemy might have been praying for you, while you desired nothing more than to end his life.
So you are removed from your earthly life in Kamaloka, seeing from their eyes and feeling from their heart what your I's desires, derived from the sensible world and not the spiritual world, have caused them:
your loved ones, your enemies and everyone in between.
You live your life again, backwards and three times as fast, knowing what will happen.
It is among the greatest pains to be chained, seeing the most brutal tragedies unfold, knowing:
“I could have prevented all.”
It is here that the I discovers within itself a spiritual desire:
“I will make it good.”

People wonder if hypnosis is real or possible.
Why don't you test it? Start observing yourself, every second, minute and hour. See what triggers thoughts, emotions - externally (in the world) and internally (in the mind)
You set yourself the challenge, you go do this. You then find that you slip into weird forgetfullness, that you got caught up in your thoughts or imagination.
Suddenly hours will go by, and you will forget that you were observing yourself. You realize it is hell on earth to observe one's self consciously, we want to slip out into unconscious states.
Now if you manage to record these unconscious/autopilot moments of your day, you will find that you are highly suggestable, and in hypnosis via your phone, social media and or people around you.
That is the hardest thing to admit though. We will never admit we are not conscious; as that would be uncomfortable to admit that we are in constant states of forgetting and falling out of our own reality.
But if you can admit it, and see it for what it is then you are on your way to atleast understanding how to escape this prision of compelled actions/thoughts.
To escape you first must know what you are escaping from. However better words would be, how to leave and enter at will. We want to analyze how these mind states work, how our "I's" (identities) shift at a switch of a bad emotion, or something that happens to us.
One day someone wishes to hand you their items, and be selfless, the next day that same person comes back and fights you for those items back.
You see how your mind works, it is almost constantly under trance states of consciousness everyday. Now hypnosis uses this through adding suggestions through relaxed (theta) states of mind, in often times like entertainment, repetition, etc.
