These are quotes Napheesa has made about offense v. defense, she seems to prefer more offense focused strategies. Completely opposite to the Valkyries approach.
Just read the ESPN article about Nakase, and these paragraphs really stood out - how she lets players play to their strengths, and lets them be themselves.
Honestly, Steph White could learn a lot from this. The issue with Steph is not that she’s a defensive-minded coach, Nakase is defensively focused too.
The difference is that Nakase took the time to actually understand her players and their strengths, and she modifies her game plans according to her team’s strengths. Steph White instead always tried to get the Fever to change their natural playing styles to adapt to her schemes. She also seemed to have super rigid schemes that didn’t change based on real-time game scenarios - if something didn’t work, the Fever didn’t really have any alternative approaches/schemes to run instead. This coaching style can’t form a successful team.

This isn’t the gotcha you think it is, you’ve conveniently left out the 10 positive tweets I’ve made about Angel since then🤣🤣🤣
People’s opinions change - and she’s not behaved like that since June/July, seems to have matured, and she’s played well lately, so I’m cool with her currently. Still don’t like her fans though lol.
