Honestly, this is how it’s always been😭 So many Fever fans are from racial minorities, and would never partake in racism + are actively against it, but are regularly called slurs/names by Angel/A’ja fans just for supporting a team they don’t agree with. Most of us are just here to watch basketball tbh. Even the race wars around Caitlin and Angel started back in college, primarily because of the way Angel’s supporters started claiming anyone who doesn’t support Angel is racist. This led to a bunch of supremely-right wing elements to latch themselves onto Caitlin/the Fever, and use it for their own narratives. But those aren’t the actual Caitlin/Fever fans - Caitlin herself has said multiple times she stands against racism, and her actual fans are exactly the same. But they get so much hate and are called racist just for existing, a lot of which is spurred by Angel fans. Anyway, long-winded way of saying that you’re right lol. I’m just glad people are finally realising how toxic the Angel/Dream fans can be.

Followed two groups for most of the day, but then also just walked around the other holes and watched a few lesser known players play too. Lesser crowd there so honestly a better spectator experience too
