I appreciate that info about the Binance hack but understand that I just don't pay attention to that stuff. I've had this multi-year trend structure drawn for a very long time and I've also had a target of 78,500 for a long time. $BTC has been the guage for the entire market since it's inception. I don't own Bitcoin but use it as a measuring stick. I am heavily into altcoins. If Bitcoin fails to hold this trend structure due to a "Black Swan" perceived event such as a Binance Bitcoin hack, so be it as that can't be predicted or controlled. I will stick with the structure I've outlined until proven otherwise! This Bitcoin hack simply makes a stronger case for some of the altcoins that have never been successfully hacked. The general market will always move with a Bitcoin crash until that's proven not to be the case. Keep in mind that this has happened before and the market typically recovers from these "events" very quickly. These "events" are simply used to justify price movement that was already indicated by the charts. It's mazing how this stuff happens right before an election and while a crypto friendly Administration is in office. Very sketchy stuff as the left will do anything to make Trump look bad before the coming election! The liberal socialists have been bashing crypto as "unsafe" for a long, long time! Crypto WILL win in the end, guaranteed!!

Technical debt slows you down. Security debt takes you down. Quantum computers may be able to break today’s cryptography by 2029. But the date that matters more is 2029 minus your migration time. For most organizations, the answer is years. New from Algorand CPO @wj_beaumont 👇

Zcash $ZEC is leading financial privacy by innovation. Zcash funds its own development. 80% of mining rewards go to miners, with 20% flowing into R&D through the Dev Fund, keeping the ecosystem free from venture capital. That funding recently went toward Ironwood, a new pool with advanced privacy features. Read more on The Stack by @LowBeta: grayscale.com/the-stack/how-…

Long-term crypto investments have the best chance of success when the asset has clear, durable utility and constrained supply. Speculation can support the price for a while, but over the long run assets that lack both eventually get repriced to zero.

A 10-year bond issued on-chain today needs to remain secure until 2036. That's why post-quantum security matters today, not tomorrow. On @FINTECHTVglobal, our CCO @AmarOdedra explained why Algorand has been preparing for the quantum era since 2022. 👇

⚡ @Algorand recorded a block time of 2.76 seconds on October 21. That is its shortest average block time of the past week. Built for what's next, and this week's blocks got there sooner. 📊 chainspect.app/chain/algoran…

Today, SDF joined @hedera, @AptosLabs, @AvaLabs, @Cardano_CF, and @chainlink in a letter to the SEC on the proposed Regulation Crypto Assets. The ask: make the 2026 Interpretation’s “digital commodity” classification into regulation. Durable rules begin with today’s clarity.

Banks are tokenizing assets that could sit on-chain for decades, on blockchains secured by cryptography that a quantum computer could one day break. You can't build the new financial system on outdated cryptography. Read the latest blog from our CEO, William Herkelrath 👇

A man poured most of his money into a struggling tech company, went through a divorce, and started sleeping in a parking garage. He went on to help build Zcash. – In the 1990s, Zooko Wilcox was already working on digital money, long before Bitcoin existed. – He worked at DigiCash, an early attempt to build electronic money. The company failed, but the idea stuck with him. –He kept exploring decentralized systems and privacy technology. – Then Bitcoin launched in 2009 and showed the world that digital money could work without a central authority. – But Bitcoin had a problem: its transactions were visible on a public ledger. – In 2013, a group of researchers began working on Zerocoin, a proposal to bring more privacy to Bitcoin. – The research evolved into a new cryptocurrency called Zcash. – Zooko was asked to help lead the project. He initially turned it down. – By the summer of 2015, he'd invested most of his money in another company he founded, Least Authority, and was going through a divorce. – He wanted to stay in Boulder so he could keep taking his children to school. At times, that meant sleeping in his car in a parking garage. – He eventually committed to the Zcash project. – On October 28, 2016, Zcash launched, using advanced cryptography to let users shield transaction details. – And the privacy work hasn't stopped. – Today, Zcash developers are tackling another challenge: future quantum computers. – Zakura has proposed giving every ZEC swap through NEAR Intents its own viewing key, limiting how much transaction history a compromised key could expose. – A man who spent decades working on digital money helped turn a privacy research project into a live cryptocurrency. Imagine if he'd given up when things got difficult.

We’re watching a managed teardown of a monetary system that can’t be fixed anymore. Most of the noise is just political theater, and what looks like chaos on the surface is pretty much how the transition gets worked out behind the scenes. Happy Sunday.
