My beloved sister died of cancer yesterday. My world was crashing down. Just now I realized what day that was. She was the person I looked up to the most, my whole world, my best friend for sixty-six years, she was my rock. Far too young, cancer steals the happiness we once knew.
My mother was a cancer scientist. It was a shock when she herself was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away a year later.
On this World Cancer Day, @POTUS and I are committed to supporting the scientists, researchers, and health care workers devoted to fighting this disease.

Well, apparently Musk pulled a similar stunt in 2024 with communist and spoiler candidate Cornel West. A Musk-linked dark money network reportedly helped fund his candidacy.

Spanish police have arrested a former Russian soldier after discovering an illegal weapons operation in Catalonia, near the French border.
Investigators uncovered a concealed workshop inside a rented warehouse in Figueres, approximately 25 kilometers from France. The facility contained 644 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, silencers and weapons components.
The seized arsenal is estimated to be worth €5 million.

Very glad to see the defeat of Vučić in Serbia. The defeat of Flávio Bolsonaro in Brazil is also good, but it’s difficult to praise Lula, as he is Kremlin-friendly, and Diet Russia to Bolsonaro’s Russia Classic. I prefer no Russia. Still, a strong day against right wing fascism.
