There is something profoundly beautiful about this video. an ephemeral moment of familial happiness, so ordinary that it almost escapes our attention, yet so extraordinary in what it represents. #amitkilhor #kilhor #happyfamily #win

This is Rakesh, he runs a used books stall in Andheri, Mumbai where you can rent a book for ₹10. When asked if he earns enough doing this, he responded in a way that qualifies him to be what I call an avid reader. His response was -"People earn so they can spend money on something they want. I am already surrounded by the one thing I always wanted to have". For me, he is one of the finest avid readers as he is far from distractions of life and doing the one thing that satisfies him the most. Drop a heart for him❤️

A society where, let's say USA, failure only means downgrade from super wealthy to rich, or even if you fail you will have an upper middle class life, or if you fail miserably, you have 90 percent chance of a decent life, this philosophy makes sense. In something like India, where the failure probability is 95 percent, and a failure means a life of poverty and with a family dependent on you, this philosophy is rhetorical and delusional and kind of gambling. Never go all in. Without a back up. The risk and choices can be taken only by upper middle class and above classes.
99.999% students will fail. But I would 100% recommend this.

The single greatest use of Chekhov's pane of glass you'll ever see. It's beyond me how someone didn't die filming these stunts. What's Up, Doc? (1972) | Peter Bogdanovich
