lando is genuinely so happy for kimi 🤍

"it was a day where the car had a lot of potential. i think the first stint, the final stint, the pace was very, very strong but just not able to achieve anything with it, which is a shame. but that's the way it is"

"it's not nice to do a whole race behind someone 😃 and overtaking is pretty much impossible with the limiter that we have. it ruins the racing, honestly. i think today could have been a very exciting day if we didn't have this and hopefully for next year we can make this better"

there's just so much humility and grace in the way lando has approached passing the number 1 on to kimi. throughout the season, he's never missed an opportunity to praise him and yesterday was no different, saying he couldn't think of anyone more deserving. he's already gone back to signing with his number 4 out of respect, because as he said himself, it would feel weird to keep the number 1 once someone else had won it, even though it's technically his until the end of the season. he wears the title of world champion just as well as he earned it 🤍
