I thought that Google will lose interest in Kotlin Multiplatform after they won in the Oracle's lawsuit. However, the recent announcements of KMP support in ViewModel and Room suggest that I might've been wrong.
Is KMP the future of mobile development?

Twitter is the ad-dependent print newspaper bought out by private equity that now needs to service its debt, and the first order of business is to sell off the real estate, lay off staff, hike subscription costs and hope the core customer base doesn’t notice everything is worse.

Not sure if I publically said this before, but kotlinx.coroutines.* is seriously cool; I don't see any reason whatsoever why anyone would use any other library (such as RxJava) than this for async/reactive programming.

The onboarding experience using KMM has room for improvement (and also why recommend starting off with some sample etc)
But, once you have setup up and running, I do find it really impressive how quickly new functionality can be added to shared code and consumed on iOS & Android

PSA: AndroidX officially went multiplatform on Wednesday.
For now, it only affects a small number of artifacts, but that's just the beginning. 👀 👀 👀
That means we can expect exciting times ahead for Kotlin!

I don’t think Putin 🇷🇺 gets many awards these days, and whether he’ll appreciate this one might of course be slightly doubtful. But there is little doubt that he fully deserves it.

Putin has escalated his attacks on civilians in Ukraine, so the free world must escalate sanctions on Russia. Maintaining the status quo is both immoral & ineffective. Sanctions must ratchet up continuously until Putin ends his slaughter and destruction.

Current sanctions are going to cause complete collapse of the Russian economy...there needs to be equally strong positive incentives promised if a properly democratic Russia can emerge.

Creating abstractions is typically seen as a core part of the process of developing software.....however, really recommend holding off on adding them until absolutely necessary. Have faith that that code can be refactored to include them when needed!
