The Sports Goods Manufacturing Scheme is a significant step towards building on India’s strengths, driving innovation and expanding our global footprint. Public investment can catalyse private enterprise, nurture new technologies and help Indian manufacturers move up the value chain. Personally, I have always believed that sports build not just a healthy body, but also a healthy mind, discipline and character. This conviction has guided my efforts to strengthen sports infrastructure through MPLAD funds, because sporting excellence begins with opportunities at the grassroots. At @MSDESkillIndia, our recognition of Sports as a Skill reflects an ecosystem approach: integrating sports into education under #NEP2020, building a pool of certified coaches and trainers, strengthening the capacity of support staff, and creating pathways for innovation, entrepreneurship and livelihoods. This vision comes alive through a dedicated pilot called #SportEdgeMeerut, which brings together sports manufacturing, women-led enterprises and talent development. Two manufacturing units in Meerut are creating skilled livelihood opportunities for women through badminton racquet and synthetic shuttlecock production. By connecting grassroots participation with skills, enterprise and innovation, we can build a globally competitive sports ecosystem and position India as a hub for sports manufacturing and sporting excellence and we are working towards the same. Attended the Northeast Tourism & Hospitality Skill Conclave 2026 in Guwahati, alongside Hon’ble Minister Sh @BiswajitDaimar5. Led by @MSDESkillIndia, with support from @NSDCIndia and the @skillthsc, the Conclave focused on strengthening tourism-led skilling, industry partnerships and international mobility opportunities for the youth of the North-East. The occasion also witnessed the exchange of an MoU between MSDE and the Government of Assam for establishing a Skill India International Centre (SIIC), and the exchange of LoIs of PM-SETU clusters with Numaligarh Refinery Limited and Oil India Limited. These partnerships aim to strengthen industry-aligned skilling infrastructure, create opportunities, and equip the youth of the North-East with skills for emerging domestic and international markets!

On 15 August 1979, Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh ji launched TRYSEM (Training of Rural Youth for Self-Employment), reflecting the vision of self-reliance through livelihoods. Mahatma Gandhi’s Gram Swaraj shared the same ideal. Skill is inclusive, not exclusive! Our priority must be to empower every young person in Rajasthan with skills, dignified employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

An evening highlighting innovation, lifelong learning and responsibility towards our environment. A proud moment as #ViksitBharatBuildathon 2025 is now recognised by @GWR as the world's Largest Innovation Solutions Competition. Also felicitated the national award winners of the Buildathon. Alongside launched the ULLAS guidelines for TEIs to bring our future teachers closer to adults who are learning to read. In an initiative towards sustainability, two crore students have stepped up to collect about six lakh e-waste items under Special Campaign 6.0.
