This is a foolish bet for Grant.
Jason could buy options on Bitcoin for $250-300k that pay $1.5 mil at the high
So if it hits high, he makes 500k
If it doesn’t, he makes $700k
Horrible bet for Grant.
Bitcoin will never break its all-time high again." — Jason Calacanis
Jason, I'll bet you $1,000,000 it will break its ATH. Here are the terms:
Bitcoin hits or exceeds $126,210.50 on or before October 28, 2028, 12PM PST
I’m happy to trust you to pay or if you prefer we can each escrow the dollars with independent party.
The bet is either settled when Bitcoin hits the ATH or on October 28, 2028.
@jason Do we have a bet?
He went to the nba finals lol..

Love ya Bri, fan of leaf, but if you sold wemby for $516K, and then it went on to sell for $1.44 million less than 3 months later, does that really mean you know the market better than anybody?
I sold due to injury risk, but I do know gold and green kaboom market better than anyone.
What about the $5 million worth I bought for total cost of $1.39 mil?

“I know this market better than any living person” says the guy that sold a Wemby before having the market double within 3 months 🤣🤣
I’ll pay $110k.
The others sold over $1m.
I sold Wemby for $516k and 90 days later it sold $1.44 million
I know this market better than any living person

It’s not worth that much man. You’re solely looking at Kaboom and Messi and ignoring all over context
The error in the analysis is “actual soccer collectors” as you call them arent who buys cards like this.
The better green kabooms that sold over $1 million weren’t to these “actual soccer collectors” as you call them.

OP is right here. Actual soccer collectors know how trash this card actually is. The only reason it went for the price it did was because it’s a 1/1
He barely played in the tournament itself. There 0 significance in this set
Messi’s other green kabooms sold $1-1.2 million.
This card is $250k easy
I am sick I didn’t see this card fir sale

The only appeal of this card is that it's a Kaboom 1/1. Outside of that it has nothing going for it. Unlicensed kit, from a set that will be forgotten about in a year if it hasn't already, Miami Messi, the worst Kabooms ever released. There's a 100+ more desirable Messi cards.
It’s funny that the hobby assumes the mainstream soccer collector is the market for these. The world has changed, it’s a crazy era.
This as the best auction buy of 2026!

This Messi is a hilarious gauge on how much the hobby understands Soccer cards. So many people can't believe it went this cheap, meanwhile all the soccer collectors cant believe it even has this much value. It's an unlicensed Messi image on the worst Kabooms ever released.
Yet I am desperate to pay $110k!!

If it were Barca or Argentina it would be over $1 million.

Not in a Barca or Argentina kit. Not as valuable. Inter Miami effectively a pub team
I’ll pay $110k right now.

Not really , CWC/no licensed kit Messi kaboom even though he was fantastic was not a great tourney from Messi

A phrase written for the gaggles of keyboard warriors out there.
Fat shaming is rooted in the same cruelty as racism and sexism: judging, humiliating, and dehumanizing people based on who they are or how they look. The experiences aren't identical, but the principle is the same. Nobody deserves ridicule for their body, race, or gender. Hate is hate.
To my friend, SCVSPORTSCARDS, please read this with an open mind and feel free to continue your hate speech if you disagree with the above.
People who body shame, bully, or use hateful language are often fighting insecurities and emotional wounds of their own. Sometimes, tearing others down is an attempt to feel better about themselves. But projecting your pain onto someone else doesn't heal it. Hurt people may hurt people, but healing people break that cycle.
I pray for the wounded and hurt who weaponize speech as a defense mechanism to their own pain.
