We present projection imaging with parameter selection (PROPS) for light-sheet microscopy.

With PROPS, we can control the depth and location of a projection, and optically unwrap a curved surface, here of a drosophila embryo.

Our mesoscopic oblique plane microscope is online:

It enables rapid volumetric imaging of a whole zebrafish embryo with ~2.3 micron lateral resolution.
This is enabled by merging a couple of optical innovations and tricks. 1/N

We present doubled resolution in light-sheet microscopy via multi-directional structured illumination.
This enables SIM imaging at 1Hz volume rate of subcellular dynamics.

Field of view extension in oblique plane microscopy:

We leverage the native field of view of a NA 1.1 /25X lens by funneling it through the tertiary imaging system via optical tiling.

We present light-sheet microscopy combined with structured illumination.
This enables rapid volumetric imaging in a light-sheet format with doubled resolution.
This will need a few tweets to discuss the details... 1/n

We present rapid projection imaging under variable viewing angles. We apply this method in light-sheet and spinning disk microscopy to visualize 3D samples in real time. We further demonstrate that 3D information can be gathered from a set of projections. nature.com/articles/s41592-0…

Replying to @bingy_C
@bingy_C tuning her homebuilt pulse-compressor on a nonlinear autocorrelator she assembled herself too.
She has built her own lasers in the past and has recently started building an oblique plane microscope.
We are very glad to have her expertise in the lab!

BREAKING NEWS:
The 2020 #NobelPrize in Chemistry has been awarded to Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudna “for the development of a method for genome editing.”
I think I should at least send a tweet to let my PI know that he has followed me 2 years ago. 😆
Our work to speed up spherical-aberration free remote focusing is now published in @LightSciAppl :
rdcu.be/b7ola
We have added two photon imaging with 12 kHz axial scan rate in the revision.
